Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 depending on experience

Position Overview:

As a Graduate Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team and play a crucial role in supporting the development and introduction of new processes to enhance on site manufacturing capability. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual, capable of working well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automated Application Development: Test varying spraying parameters using robotic spraying systems on a wide variety of parts to optimise coating performance.
  • Computer Aided Design (CAD): Assist the Design Engineer in generating basic Engineering drawings and quickly prototype jigs that can be used to aid production processes.
  • Testing and Analysis: Use analytical equipment to characterise coating trials by measuring optical performance and durability.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Accurately record and analyse test results, maintaining detailed records and showcase these results through presentations and written reports.
  • R&D Support: Assist the R&D department in the formulation of new products, conduct experiments and provide feedback based on results.
  • Project Work: Adhere to strict project deadlines, providing regular updates to the wider Engineering team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to production processes and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering degree in mechanical, manufacturing, CAD or similar engineering related discipline.
  • 1 year in an industrial setting with hands on experience in either a laboratory or workshop environment.
