About the Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer I, you will help design, support, and improve our systems alongside a diverse team. You will contribute ideas, learn from others, and play an active role in making our technology more robust and accessible. Responsibilities
- Work with your team to develop and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure systems that serve a broad range of users.
- Collaborate with software engineers and other colleagues to implement and improve automated deployment and integration processes.
- Help design, test, and deliver solutions that increase system stability and availability.
- Use and support infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and automation tools.
- Work together with various teams to solve technical challenges and share knowledge.
- Monitor systems and address issues proactively to ensure excellent service for all users.
- Promote best practices in reliability engineering and support teammates in their growth and success.
Requirements
- Experience working with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Interest or background in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or related fields. We value diverse experiences and encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every listed qualification.
- An understanding of continuous integration and deployment tools (such as Jenkins), containerization (such as Docker), and orchestration platforms is helpful.
- Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools (such as OpenSearch/ELK, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar), as well as security concepts (such as WAF, IAM roles), is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and Github is valued.
- Experience with database platforms (preferably MS SQL and AWS RDS) is welcome.
