About the Role:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will engage in complex research, design, and software development assignments within various software areas or product lines. You will also contribute directly to project plans, schedules, and methodologies in the development of cross-functional software products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with team members to finalize requirements
Write and review detailed specifications for the development of complex system components. Complete bug fixes
Translate product requirements into software designs
Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
Work in various development environments (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
Resolve technical issues as necessary
Mentor junior software engineers, sharing knowledge and supporting their growth
Stay informed about new technology developments
Design and work with complex data models
Requirements:
Several years of software engineering experience or equivalent
Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
Proficiency with data manipulation languages and optimization techniques
Understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles
Knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems
Experience with development languages and tools (e.g., Java, Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong research skills
Knowledge of industry best practices in development
Ability to use and develop applicable tool sets
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to finalize requirements
Ability to complete bug fixes
Good oral and written communication skills
