This role is a hybrid role, 2 days a week minimum in our office in Dublin 2. This is a full time permanent role.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the CF Group of companies, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing effective financial controls. The job holder will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.
Responsibilities:
● Manage the financial operations of the company, including controllership, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management.
● Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and presentations for senior management, shareholders, and external stakeholders.
● Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data including full reconciliation of group inter company positions and transfer pricing adjustments.
● Ensure completeness of regulatory, governmental and local institutional reporting including financial, tax, payroll and other filings required for entity adherence.
● Manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
● Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to senior management.
● Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and provide regular financial updates.
● Revenue Analysis and Optimisation: Analyse payment transaction data, revenue streams, and pricing structures to identify opportunities for revenue optimisation and cost reduction. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payment processing, transaction volumes, and customer acquisition costs.
● Monitor vendor performance, pricing, and compliance to ensure financial objectives are met.
● Risk Management: Assess and monitor financial risks associated with payment operations, compliance, fraud, and cybersecurity. Collaborate with risk management and compliance teams to implement effective controls and mitigation strategies.
● Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as product management, sales, and operations to align financial objectives with business goals.
● Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial management, and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience Required:
● Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A professional certification e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA required.
● Proven experience as a Financial Controller or a similar role, in a regulated, Global organisation (5+ years PQE in a FC role).
● In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting regulations, and financial reporting standards
● Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
● Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
● Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing and developing a team.
● Attention to detail and accuracy, with strong problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time pressure and meet deadlines.
