XYZ Reality is a construction tech start-up based in London and is
currently looking for a talented full-time Production Manager to lead
the production of all XYZ ATOM Augmented Reality products.
We have developed the world’s most accurate Augmented Reality HMD
for Construction that can eliminate 2D plans. This allows builders, for
the first time, to walk on site and use AR/3D models to construct from
start to finish.

We are seeking a passionate individual who loves hands-on work and is
up for a challenge, having experience in various production processes
to streamline and manage our full assembly pipeline end to end. This
role will cover both the management of our Contract Manufacturer,
alongside ownership of all production operations for XYZ.
This is an exciting role that will be at the heart of a new phase of
production scale and growth for XYZ as we continue to increase our
global customer base.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the production
program of all our Augmented Reality devices from the HMD to the
supporting accessories, currently assembled, calibrated and tested
with our Reading based Contract Manufacturer. We are looking for
someone who can drive forward the day to operation of our production
program, evaluating processes, streamline our workflow from start to
finish, and ensure that we achieve the required build volume to meet
sales demand.

This role will involve good communication, team management
and good organisation skills across a number of key departments.
Specifically this role will interact with the Product Engineering, Quality,
Sales and Technical Project Management, bringing each aspect of our
product through production, to a complete sell-able system, delivered
to our end customers. This role will be responsible a number of teams
within Production Operations including, Inventory management, ATOM
Logistics and Facilities Operations. We’re excited to start growing our

Key Responsibilities

Extensive experience in product assembly, preferably on products
that have a high level of electromechanical complexity, featuring PCBA’s, ,
firmware, mechanics, calibration and software installation.

Day to day management of our Contract Manufacture to ensure they meet
our demand through effective assembly processes, at the acceptable
quality that we stipulate.

Good project management skills & production scheduling generated
directly from our Sales Pipeline and integrated MRP system. Experience
with Jira and Confluence is preferable but not essential.

Extensive experience using MRP’s across inventory management, BOMs,
production forecasting, assett management and production operations.
Focus on dashboard reporting will be key for this role to give clear visibilty
on busines production status.

Direct collaboration with commercial teams to plan and mobilise jobs from
our NPI facility in Reading, out to our end customers around the world. This
role will manage our logistics team, ensuring the sucesful delivery of all
ATOM stock to site, on time, in full.

Experience working alongside advanced assembly/calibration equipment
(robotics etc..)

Demonstrate a good level of commercial knowledge through providing
financial models on production output against sales pipeline requirements
Constant search for process improvement and production optimisation.

Working directly with Quality, Engineering and Hardware teams for design
optimisation / production improvement through jigs and fixtures etc...
Experience leading small assembly teams, running 1-1 Objectives reviews
supporting training where required. This role will directly manage Logstics,
Facilities and Production Operations teams.

Ability to lead DFM / DFA sessions directly with the Product Engineering
and Hardware teams as we look to productionise our product offering.
Exposure to a Tollgate/Stagegate program is beneficial, with appreciation to the role production product development program.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Degree level qualifications in engineering 2:1 or higher.
• 5+ years credible industry experience including:
• Production / Manufacturing process implementation
• Contract Manufacturing
• DFM / DFA
• Managing small teams
• Advanced MRP / ERP systems experience
• Advanced user in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
