Are you ready?

The role:

This role sits in the Operations team at Vitesse which is at the heart of the business. Our goal within Operations is to run and improve critical and regulated processes that enable the effective running of payment and treasury services for our clients. Operations has everything in place to ensure our clients and third parties can make payment easily, effectively and to the right recipient.

The Operations team is spilt into five areas:

· Payments

· FX & Liquidity

· Funding

· Reconciliations

· Customer Support

Working within a team of 3 and reporting directly into the Senior Payments Liquidity & FX Manager you will monitor the in-country domestic bank accounts, ensuring there will be enough funding for the upcoming payments, and booking foreign exchange spot trades where required. You will also be responsible for applying incoming client funds to their accounts with us.

Responsibilities:

· Monitoring in-country liquidity accounts, ensuring sufficient funding for upcoming payouts

· The daily processing of Vitesse liquidity payments across global banking network

· Posting trade details and liquidity payments within the core processing system

· Execution of FX spot deals with various counterparties

· Ad hoc execution of OTC trades

· Assisting the FX & Liquidity Manager in monitoring FX exposure

· Monitoring and reporting on upcoming client trades

· Performing internal reconciliations

· Application of client funds to accounts in a timely manner

· Assisting the other teams within the operations team with any ad hoc tasks

· 3 years professional experience gained within Financial Services – preference for backgrounds in a dealing or treasury function, or settlements.

· FX experience gained from a back / middle office preferred

· Awareness of 1st line controls

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally

· Attention to detail and accuracy

· Sense of urgency

· Strong analytical skills

· Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment

· Confidence to work independently but also as part of the wider Operations team

· Strong Excel skills

· Organisational skills

· Problem analysis and solving skills
