Created by a team of proven FinTech entrepreneurs in 2015, Vitesse PSP is an FCA regulated business that provides global payment and treasury services to the insurance industry. Vitesse operates one of the largest domestic banking and payment networks in the world, giving its customers direct access to more than 170 countries' domestic payment networks, covering over 100 currencies. Through a single integration, merchants gain access to in-country payment routing, resulting in significantly lower payment costs and much faster delivery. To date, the company has processed over $8 billion of transactions.

Vitesse is focussed on serving customers in the insurance market, providing insurers with improved capital efficiency and faster claims settlement. With $4 trillion in insurance claims paid globally, the market opportunity is significant and Vitesse has aggressive growth plans with opportunities for both geographic and product extension.

The company is venture capital backed and currently well-funded, having recently announced a $93m Series C financing led by KKR. Annualised revenue run rate is currently £27m and revenue growth for the last two financial years has exceeded 100%. The business has proven unit economics having achieved profitability in 2023. We currently have 180 colleagues across London & Rotterdam and have embarked on a US expansion strategy. Its a very exciting time to be joining Vitesse!

Your Mission

Reporting into the CFO, the VP Finance will be responsible for our day to day financial operations, as well as our long-term financial health and growth. This is a new role that has arisen due to the continued growth and increased complexity of the business, driven by new products and international expansion.

  • Leadership - Lead and motivate the finance team (currently 5) - build out a first class finance team, who own the reporting, deeply understand the business, enable growth and play a critical role driving the strategy and operations
  • Financial planning - Lead quantitative analysis and model development to facilitate strategic and financial decision-making. Refine the approach to financial planning to ensure appropriate financial plans, budgets and quarterly reforecasts

  • Reporting - Develop management and Board reporting and information, bringing numbers to life with insightful and actionable commentary and ensuring all reporting is in line with the needs of top-tier VCs
  • Tax and audit - Working with external advisors, consider groupwide structure and tax planning. Oversight of the annual audit and drive the transition to a new global auditor
  • Commercial - ensure the business has a clear understanding of the drivers of gross margin and oversee all pricing activities
  • Act as a business partner, working with all departments and the exec team to help make sound financial decisions
  • Develop the finance operating model to support expansion into new territories such as the US
  • A broad range of ad hoc projects including supporting financing activities and acquisition opportunities


Requirements

  • A qualified CIMA or ACA accountant with :10 years' pqe
  • Expert financial modelling skills and experience working within an FP&A function
  • Experience at a senior level in a fast paced high-growth company in the FinTech space
  • Experience overseeing international operating entities - preferably regulated entities
  • A self-starter who is results-oriented and enjoys operating at speed
  • Organised, diligent with a strong attention to detail
  • Data driven approach with strong analytical capability and a passion for leveraging data to influence decisions
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven staff management & development skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building, both internally and externally, across various organizational levels
