Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance, the Commercial Finance Analyst will play an essential role in providing analysis and management reporting to all areas of the business.
You'll prepare, develop and analyse in-depth financial information on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers for the organisation's management team to use when making well-informed decisions, which will help to secure future growth and profitability.
Job Responsibilities
Formed in 2014 by a team of proven FinTech entrepreneurs, we are an FCA regulated payments business that is driven to be the payment partner of choice for the insurance market, by providing global payment services and treasury optimisation. Operating one of the largest domestic banking and payment settlement networks in the world, we give our customers direct access to more than 170 countries and territories, covering over 110 currencies. Through a single integration, insurers can use this network to pay claims in as fast as 45 seconds, delivering a better customer experience to their claimants. Our market-leading treasury optimisation service brings complete control and transparency to insurers and allows them to have their money in the right place, at the right time, to make that all important payment - fast, and when their customers need it most.
With now over 160 employees across Europe and our London headquarters, $26m series B funding in 2022 in the bag and approaching £8bn in processed transactions, we are only just getting started.

Job Responsibilities
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators, providing in-depth analysis of the key drivers of revenue and gross margin, and making recommendations for improvements
- Complete detailed reviews of specific customer behaviours and pricing to enable decision makers within the business to make fully informed and financially sound decisions
- Assist the Sales team by improving the business' understanding of customer pricing & profitability and providing commercial support for tenders
- Support the team on the quarterly budgeting and reforecasting process using your knowledge of customer behaviour
- Own key elements of the month end process to provide Management and Board reporting, bringing numbers to life with insightful and actionable commentary
- Work on your own projects, such as the Transaction Economics model and Pricing Audit to maximise Profitability
- Collaborate with the Data team to improve and expand on existing data visualisation
- 2-4 years experience in Finance roles, demonstrating the ability to produce in-depth analysis and insights
- Strong academic background and a self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA recently or part qualified
- Some understanding of SQL and experience using BI tools such as Tableau
- An analytical mind, ability to interpret data, develop hypotheses and creative ideas to solve real-world financial problems
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders
- A strong working knowledge of Excel
- Fintech experience is helpful but not essential
