As a Compliance Analyst, you will be part of the Risk, Legal and Compliance function. The MLRO has overall responsibility for this function, and you will report directly to the Head of Compliance.

The function oversees the firm's risk management and controls framework, including implementing a companywide three line of defence model, and ensuring ongoing compliance with all applicable regulations and legal requirements, together with running the firm's Compliance Operations processes. The latter includes performing client due diligence and real-time transaction monitoring in relation to the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud.

YOUR MISSION

Your mission will be supporting the various activities and responsibilities of the team. This will include supporting the firm's client due diligence and transaction monitoring processes, undertaking regulatory reviews and deep dives, undertaking internal assurance reviews, ad hoc projects, and maintaining the firm's policy framework.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily analysis and investigation of transactions monitoring alerts;
  • Ongoing monitoring of client activity;
  • Ongoing reviews of transactions monitoring rules and parameters;
  • Support the client onboarding process, undertaking KYC on potential clients and periodic reviews for existing clients;
  • Support the assurance function, conducting reviews of the firm's operational processes and controls.
  • Assisting in the drafting of internal assurance reports and following up with department heads to close out findings and lessons learnt.
  • Remaining knowledgeable of regulations and legislation that is relevant to Vitesse, including performing impact assessments on changes in regulation;
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and training;
  • Support the firm during regulatory change programmes;
  • Liaising with Vitesse's Dutch entity, Vitesse B.V., to ensure policies and processes are aligned, and thorough communications maintained;
  • Ensuring compliance regarding 3rd Party suppliers and supply-chain management and ongoing bank and banking partner reviews and risk assessments;
  • Supporting the preparation of materials for the Risk, Compliance and Partner Management Committees, including attendance where appropriate; and
  • The team are always looking to improve on current processes, as such, you will be responsible for making recommendations, and putting forward ideas that you think might help improve the team and the firm.

All activities will be directly overseen by the sub-functional heads within the Risk and Compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven background and experience working in a compliance focused role within Financial Services or a related regulated industry enabling the candidate to demonstrate relevant skills and experience.
  • Ideally the candidate will have direct experience performing AML processes, such as client onboarding or AML investigations.
  • Good understanding of the fundamentals underpinning AML processes within financial services.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Ability to understand business processes and assess risk;
  • Strong communication (oral and written)
  • Ability to handle and analyse data;
  • Organised, diligent with strong attention to detail;
  • Confidence to drive their own projects across the business;
  • Desire to learn;
  • Able to work well with a team and the wider business; and
  • A positive outlook and a continuous improvement mentality.
