YOUR MISSION

You will be working with the FX, Liquidity & Funding Manager to monitor all bank accounts, ensuring we have the right money in the right place at the right time. This will involve calculating required balances and booking foreign exchange spot trades.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring / analysing all bank accounts to ensure funding levels are maintained
  • Processing liquidity payments across global banking network
  • Timely and accurate posting of journals within core processing system
  • Execution of FX spot deals
  • Ad hoc execution of OTC (Over the Counter) trades
  • Assisting the FX, Liquidity & Funding Manager in monitoring FX exposure
  • Monitoring and reporting on upcoming client trades

What You Need To Succeed

This role would suit someone with experience in settlements and fast paced operations. The candidate must be a self-starter and have a resilient mindset with a passion for improving processes. Any experience with the building and deployment of 1st line controls would be advantageous.

About The Team

This role sits in the Operations team at Vitesse which is at the heart of the business. Our goal within Operations is to run and improve critical and regulated processes that enable the effective running of payment and treasury services for our clients. Operations has everything in place to ensure our clients and third parties can make payment easily, effectively and to the right recipient.

The Operations Team Is Spilt Into Four Areas

  • Payments
  • FX, Liquidity & Funding
  • Reconciliation
  • Customer Support

Requirements

Skills:

  • 2 years professional experience gained within Financial Services – preference for backgrounds in a dealing or treasury function, or settlements.
  • FX experience gained from a back / middle office - preferred
  • Awareness of 1st line controls
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence to work independently but also as part of the wider Operations team
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Problem analysis and solving skills
