Overview
Vira Health is a women's and family health technology company operating virtual clinical services across multiple global markets. We are seeking a commercially driven MBA student to join us as a Business Development Intern focused on the Middle East and North Africa.
This is a hands-on sales internship. You will own outbound prospecting and outreach activity across the MENA region, identifying and engaging employer clients and EAP or occupational health distribution partners in Arabic and English. You will work directly with Vira's senior leadership and gain real experience building pipeline in a fast-moving health-tech startup.
This role is well suited to someone who is energised by outbound sales, brings strong cultural and commercial fluency in the MENA market, and can engage authentically with regional decision-makers in Arabic.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Outreach & Pipeline Building
Identify and engage employer clients and EAP/channel partners across key MENA markets (e.g. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Morocco) through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking
Build and manage an outbound prospect pipeline in Arabic and English, from initial contact through to qualified opportunity
Conduct discovery conversations with prospective employer clients and distribution partners to understand their benefits needs and assess fit with Vira's solutions
Navigate regional dynamics including regulatory frameworks, cultural considerations around women's health in the workplace, and employer health benefit purchasing behaviour
Sales Support & Enablement
Localise Vira's sales materials, pitch decks, and product collateral for MENA audiences, ensuring both linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness in Arabic
Develop outreach sequences and messaging tailored to MENA employer and benefits buyer priorities
Track all prospect interactions and pipeline activity accurately in CRM tools
Reporting & Handoff
Report on outreach activity, pipeline progress, and key learnings to senior leadership on a regular basis
Deliver a concise market and pipeline summary at the close of the internship, including recommendations for continued MENA outreach
Key Requirements
Currently enrolled in an MBA programme with an expected graduation of 2025 or 2026
Native or near-native Arabic required; strong English proficiency required
Demonstrated interest or experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles
Familiarity with the MENA employer benefits, occupational health, or corporate wellness landscape
Understanding of cultural and regulatory nuances affecting women's health in the MENA workplace context
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English
Self-directed and comfortable managing a pipeline independently in a remote-first environment
Genuine interest in women's health, digital health, or health-tech
