About this role:
We are looking for the first marketer to work alongside the founder in establishing the marketing function, with a focus on content. The ideal candidate will be a π-shaped generalist with deep expertise in content and growth marketing.
As our first Marketing Manager, you’ll be instrumental in defining how Velaris communicates its product and value to the world. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution to position Velaris as a category-defining leader in the Customer Success and Post-Sales SaaS space.
We're eager to welcome someone who can bring fresh ideas to the table and iterate quickly on our strategy to find what fits our market best. From day one, you'll have the opportunity to build our marketing efforts from scratch, and see the impact of your day to day work in the way that we make decisions.
What you’ll do:
- Marketing strategy: Set goals, plan, and prioritize across all areas of marketing.
- Content strategy: Develop a brand-focused content strategy and oversee the creation and distribution of content across channels.
- Content production: Collaborate with subject matter experts to brainstorm, create, and publish high-quality content across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Leadership: Manage, develop and expand a team of in-house marketers, contractors and freelancers while building out the marketing function with the necessary processes and workflows.
- SEO: Work with a consultant to enhance SEO strategies and optimize website performance.
- Growth marketing: Experiment with new channels, tactics, and campaigns to optimize growth.
You’ll be the perfect fit if you have:
- 4+ years of marketing experience and at least 2 years of experience leading the marketing function in an early-stage B2B SaaS startup.
- Proven track record of building demand generation/content marketing programs that generate qualified leads and contribute to revenue growth.
- A deep understanding of content marketing and demand generation.
- A foundational understanding of SEO and performance marketing best practices.
- An experimentative mindset.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into compelling narratives.
- Strategic thinking paired with tactical execution; you can see the big picture but love getting your hands dirty.
