About This Role

We are looking for the first SDR hire to work alongside two AEs and the founders in taking the company to Series A. This is a crucial role with tremendous upside potential as we tackle one of the fastest-growing spaces (think of MarTech and sales tech 10 years ago). This role has the potential to convert into an SDR leader or into an AE.

What you’ll do

  • Drive Velaris’ growth through outbound prospecting efforts, generating sales leads that will turn into opportunities and closed business.
  • Be accountable for outbound prospecting, quota-carrying role, and meeting conversion into pipeline.
  • Learn from our well-seasoned sales team and help build our world-class Sales Playbook.
  • Conduct cold calls, emails, and other outreach strategies to engage with decision-makers
  • Identify and develop an in-depth understanding of each lead generation process, supporting marketing activities, prospect touch-points, and the handoff to an Account Executive.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, partner, and operations teams to develop lead-generation strategies.
  • Articulate the value proposition of our products to our customers; Great at writing relevant emails that are relevant to each customer;
  • Maintain activity tracking in CRM records and accurate forecasts.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of previous sales experience in a high-performing environment, track record of consistent overachievement of quotas
  • A results-oriented mindset: Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, with a "figure-it-out" attitude
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable making outbound calls to influence decision-makers.
  • Communication skills: Clear, confident, and able to adapt your approach to different audiences
  • Attention to detail: Highly organized, with strong time-management skills
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Outstanding research, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Early stage experience
