As an experienced technical people manager, you will be responsible for leading our team of Semantic Ontologists. You’ll work in close collaboration with our Product Lead to drive and set goals, whilst also supporting the career development of the team. As you will be leading a team of experts in their field, you will require a high level of clarity of thought to support the team in making our AI solution stronger.

Ideally 5+ years of experience managing technical teams e.g. Data Science, Machine Learning, plus experience with a team working closely with others of a different discipline.

Previous hands-on experience outside of management within a technical capacity

Strong evidence of conceptual thinking ability and clarity of thought to support us in building an AI system.

Desire and ability to solve really difficult problems.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence improvements, and solutions, and resolve challenges.

Desired:

Previous experience with knowledge representation such as Taxonomy or Semantic Web.

Demonstrable experience working in a highly demanding role in a deeply technical start-up environment

We are currently operating a hybrid scheme with a small office near Holborn tube station available to anyone who wants to work there. We also have occasional team days where everyone meets face to face and days where people work heads down from home, communicating with colleagues using Slack and Zoom.

Compensation will be through salary and generous share options. The company has a tax-efficient EMI share option scheme set up (not available to larger companies) which allows us to provide real exposure to the success of the company without taxes being due when they are paid.
