About the Operations Team

Every day, students from 175 nationalities book over 5000 nights across 33 cities on uniplaces.com.

Our diverse team, representing 14 nationalities and speaking 6 languages, is dedicated to improving the student and landlord experience. We aim to make finding a room as easy as booking a flight.

Join us as a Customer Experience Intern!
In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality support to both tenants and landlords throughout their bookings journey. You'll assist customers with inquiries, bookings changes, cancellations, refunds, payment-related issues, and conflict resolution, ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience.
You'll also play an active roe in supporting internal operations and contributing to process improvements within the Customer Experience Team.
What You'll Do
  • Provide exceptional customer support to tenants and landlords through various communication channels, identifying issues and delivering timely solutions.
  • Assist with booking modifications, cancellations, refunds, and discounts, while proactively managing landlord cancellations to enhance tenant experiences and protect company revenue.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts between customers professionally and empathetically.
  • Create and update help tickets to accurately document customer interactions.
  • Communicate proactively with customers to ensure accurate booking and listing information.
  • Collaborate with different teams to improve internal processes and engage in customer-focused projects.

  • Linguistic Skills: You’re fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.

  • Startup Environment: Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Service-Oriented Background: Previous experience in customer support, hospitality, tourism, or similar customer-facing roles is a plus, but what truly matters is your passion for delivering outstanding customer.

Important details
  • This is a remote-based role.

  • Internship contract with a duration of 3-months (August, September and October).

  • Includes an internship grant + meal allowance + eligible for monthly bonus.

  • Access to a co-working office in Lisbon, Monday to Friday.

  • Requires availability of 40H per week.
