As a key tool for delivering exceptional experiences, trumpet is an integral part of the daily workflow for professionals across various industries.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. This role calls for an innovative problem solver who can craft scalable solutions and lead projects from concept through execution. You'll contribute both by coding and mentoring, helping elevate our development practices and improving our product with your expertise in design and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine features across the full stack, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

• Work collaboratively on new projects, as well as enhance the functionality of existing ones.

• Proactively explore and integrate new technologies to advance our platform's capabilities.

• Uphold and improve coding standards and streamline deployment processes.

• Provide mentorship and share technical guidance with team members to foster a collaborative and productive environment.

Requirements

To be successful at trumpet, you will need to have extensive experience in the following areas

• Highly proficient with React and TypeScript (5+ years) including familiarity with react-query.

• Highly proficient with Node.js (5+ years) and recent experience with Next.js.

• Strong background in MongoDB (5+ years), with experience in implementing databases with high performance requirements.

• Working within AWS is like second nature to you

• You have used Redis before

• You consider architecture and system design before diving into code

• You have experience working with product designers and are capable of converting designs from tools like Figma into high-quality React components.

• You have experience collaborating closely with Product Managers to break down project requirements into actionable, iterative steps.

• You can work independently and with minimal instruction

• Security is important to you and you take care to implement best practices

• You have a strong preference towards taking ownership, making sure you’re clear on what you’re doing and why and then communicating progress over awaiting instruction

• You believe in iterative development, release, get feedback, improve.

• You can take a project from initial requirements to release

• You deeply understand the business goals and objectives and challenge project requirements to ensure they meet them

• You are excited by the prospect of joining a very young company to design and build software that will stand for years to come

Nice to have

Although not necessarily a requirement, at trumpet we have ambitious plans for the future and having some exposure to the following would be very beneficial

• You have a keen interest in and use ChatGPT or other LLM’s on a regular basis

• You have explored some projects utilizing OpenAI API’s or similar

• You are analytical and like to find interesting trends in data

• You may have utilized Machine Learning in past projects

• You have worked with enterprise level customers before
