Our Strategic Goal

We are building to Q1 2024, which is on track to be the most successful in the brand’s history and when we reach profitability. Brand Marketing will be paramount to reaching this goal and we are looking for an innovative and driven Brand Marketing lead to take the reins to cover maternity leave in this pivotal period of growth.

Competing for noise against some major names, we are winning market share by standing out through bold, innovative marketing campaigns and tactical partnerships with globally respected brands (Financial Times, NET-A-PORTER, American Express). Having won plaudits from across the industry within 2023 (Industry Innovators - Skift Ideas Awards, Booking Platform & Marketing Campaign Of The Year - Shortyz), driving brand heat with key leaders, influencers and advocates within the travel and short term rental space will be a primary goal.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Brand Officer, this role will have one direct report - Content & Community Executive - but will work very closely with the Creative team, Performance, Data, Product, Supply and Care teams.


  • Strategic Partnerships: Forge, manage, and execute tactical partnerships to drive quantifiable growth (and build brand awareness).
  • Industry Profile Building: Amplify Plum Guide's footprint within the travel and tech space. This includes identifying and leveraging speaking opportunities, podcast features, awards, and leadership profiling to place Plum Guide at the forefront of industry conversations.
  • Customer Acquisition: Spearhead the ideation, development and roll-out of impactful traffic-driving initiatives, with subscriber growth as a primary measurement of success.
  • Guest Engagement: Engage our existing customer base with compelling content ideas, incentives and partnership opportunities to drive repeats and referrals.

Essential Qualities & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Industry Expertise: Experience in luxury or premium hotel/hospitality or lifestyle.
  • Dynamic Innovation: Capacity to bring groundbreaking, novel ideas to fruition that don’t require mega budgets.
  • Entrepreneurial Hustle: Proactivity paired with a drive to seize opportunities and clinch pivotal collaborations.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to connect and influence potential partners.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Autonomy and empowerment are central to the Plum ethos, especially as part of a small team, but so is the ability to collaborate and communicate with other key stakeholders to bring projects to fruition.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to request relevant data, gather actionable insights.

Desirable Experience

  • Partnerships Sales: Commercial mindset to secure and leverage the most impactful partnerships to fuel growth.
  • PR: Crafting and conveying Plum Guide's narrative via media and influencers.
  • CRM: Experience establishing a guest acquisition program and driving impressive subscriber growth.
