Commercial Strategy & Delivery Manager

Hybrid working - based in the office or at clients at least 3 days a week (HQ in Aldgate, London)

About us:

We are an international, venture capital-backed business founded 8 years ago, with a passion to provide the best, most simple to use mobile auditing and quality assurance tools, to solve one of healthcare's most important challenges - how to engage frontline teams in continuously improving quality and patient safety.

We aim to not only bring a transformational digital user experience to frontline staff, across all health and social care settings but to also provide management and key stakeholders with a real-time view of quality across the organisation, to drive real quality improvement.

Our vision is to enable care providers to drive exceptional care quality through real-time data, valuable insight and the ability to take immediate action while unlocking frontline time care.

Our mission is to innovate in partnership with global care professionals providing effective access to evidence, unique process insight and pioneering technology.

As a business, we are focused and dedicated to achieving our ambitious growth plans, making this an exciting time to join the Tendable team.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Commercial Strategy & Delivery Manager with over 5+ years’ of experience delivering strategic and operational projects to support our ambitious growth plans in the UK and internationally.

The Commercial Strategy & Delivery Manager will work closely with the Head of Commercial to create and implement a pipeline of commercial opportunities that delight our customers, grow our market share and please our investors.

About you:

  • You’re an analytical, problem-solver. When faced with a challenge you assess the options and evidence to find a way forward.
  • You have good sector knowledge (health and social care) and are comfortable meeting and presenting to C-level leaders as well as their teams.
  • You are a high performer with a proven track record of delivering on complex requirements, in high-growth environments.
  • You’re mission-driven – you care about making a positive impact on health and social care outcomes.
  • You are a self-starter, with lots of ideas and energy. If you see something is not working, you’ll flag it and be part of the solution.
  • You have hustle, drive, and a bias for action - you're not afraid to experiment with creative tactics and pivot if it doesn't work.
  • You love collaborating with other teams and getting to know prospective customers – you’re curious to understand their challenges and how we could solve them.
  • You’re good at training, developing and motivating those around you.
  • You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and muck in to support the team and company in achieving its goals.
  • You actively seek out feedback and continuous improvement - you want to learn, grow, and develop.

You will support the Head of Commercial to:

  • Identify and prioritise new commercial opportunities to grow UK and international revenues
  • Work cross-functionality to develop and launch highly competitive and attractive commercial propositions/offerings
  • Establish scalable ways of working across go-to-market teams to ensure effective delivery of growth plans

  • Horizon scan using research, analysis and market insights to define unmet customer needs and white space opportunities
  • Build and continually add to a pipeline of commercial opportunities and support the business to prioritize these
  • Work cross-functionally to develop the commercial offering/proposition to take to market and execute their delivery
  • Ensure the necessary systems, processes and ways of working are in place across relevant teams to effectively scale commercial proof of concepts
  • Work with Commercial Ops to assess and track the return on investment of propositions

One of the great things about a scale-up is there are opportunities to get involved in all sorts of things outside of your normal remit. The list above represents your core role and responsibilities but isn’t exhaustive and you may be asked to take on new responsibilities as necessitated by the business as your role and the company evolves.

Essential skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a leading management consultancy or in-house strategy or consultancy-style team
  • Core consulting skill set – problem solving, analytical, storytelling, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Good health and social care industry knowledge and an understanding of how it applies to the Tendable customer journey
  • Ability to identify new product and service opportunities with our customers that create value for them
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills as evidenced by delivering through cross-functional teams
  • Able to work under pressures, commit to tight deadlines and thrive in a high growth environment
  • People leadership experience, including development and training of junior staff
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to delegate and oversee staff
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience working on commercial growth projects or proposition development
  • Interest and knowledge of the health technology sector
  • Understanding of key success factors on the customer-facing journey

  • Competitive base salary, plus bonus and up to 7% pension contribution
  • Company share option scheme
  • Individual personal development budget plus 3 days leave per annum
  • 25 days annual leave
  • 24/7 employee assistant programme
  • The opportunity to join an exceptional start-up business backed by blue-chip VCs at an early stage of the journey.

Our workplace and culture

At Tendable, we apply the best digital technology to solve one of healthcare’s most important challenges: how to continuously raise the bar on quality.

The Tendable app and web platform make quality inspections quicker, easier and more effective by bringing the mobile user experience we all know and love to the frontlines of the healthcare industry.

About Tendable

Health and care workers are called to their professions because of a passion for people, not paperwork. Yet, healthcare staff often spend more time on admin than caring for patients.

At the same time, health and care workers face new challenges in keeping our communities healthy. As a result, understanding and improving quality in care is more critical now than ever.

Across care and clinical settings, teams want to do better for the people and communities they care for. First, they need to know what better means.

This is why we created Tendable.
