We’re looking for an experienced National Field Sales & Education manager to join the Team at Skin + Me. This role will be field based 4 days per week, plus 1 day per week based out of our office in Paddington, London. During peak periods you may be required to work weekends / evenings from time to time.
In this role you will be responsible for leading our best in class field team and continuing to drive the next phase of field sales growth and expansion. You will develop our field sales strategy to achieve sell-through targets and build brand awareness within our retail partner bricks & mortar points of distribution.
This role will work closely with the Senior National Account Manager, Trade Marketing Manager and partner cross-functionally with the full Skin + Me retail team, and our retail partners, to understand needs and drive strategic execution of field sales initiatives.
This role will operate in a fast paced newly established retail environment that offers an opportunity to be part of building a rapidly growing brand, while actively contributing from strategy through to execution.
What you’ll do:
- Design, build & execute best in class field sales strategies for our bricks & mortar retail partners. You will develop a deep understanding of the UK Retailer accounts, field employees and our customers to deliver effective sales experiences and education programmes to drive sell through in an ever-changing retail landscape.
- Scale Skin + Me brick & mortar presence in the UK, developing successful focus door strategies, Beauty Advisor programs and event executions.
- Scale our field team in line with retail sales growth, including recruiting, building, developing, motivating, and retaining local area management and field teams to maximise the brand experience and drive sales.
- Construct annual Field Sales expense budgets, including T&E, gratis, collateral, events, Beauty Advisor spend, and allocate budgets as necessary to maximise impact; monitor and adjust as needed to ensure alignment with targets and objectives to ensure strong return on investment
- Work with our Commercial Retail Director to create and evolve regular reports (weekly sales, ranking, productivity) and utilise them to analyse trends and performance, and develop strategic plans to increase market share, rank, comp in all doors.
- Work with retailer store managers and brand field managers to ensure maximum productivity. This will include regular sales educating and coaching retailer teams on the Skin + Me vision, mission and values, along with selling skills and service standards to ensure a consistent and high quality execution of our brand experience
- Initiate and build relationships with key regional and national retail contacts to strengthen brand focus and grow importance of Skin + Me across the UK retail estate
- Work with our Commercial Retail Director on the right bricks & mortar assortment strategy and collateral materials to support sales and optimise productivity per FTE
- Manage and facilitate annual national and regional sales meetings
- Ability to travel as needed across the UK
Who you are:
- 5+ years of field retail sales experience in beauty (Boots/JLP/Sephora required)
- Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to inspire and motivate a field sales team
- Growth mindset that translates into a passion for the consumer in a fun and fresh way
- Quick-thinking hands-on, organised problem-solver
- Strong project management, cross-functional communication & influencing skills
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills, including PowerPoint and/or Google Slides
- Have a desire to flourish in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial spirit
