We’re looking for an experienced New Product Development (NPD) Manager to join our Brand & Medical Team at And Begin. This is a hybrid working role with three days a week in our Paddington HQ (Mon, Tue, Fri) and two days remote.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced NPD Manager to take the lead in developing the product programme for a new brand we are developing to manage midlife skin - And Begin. We are excited to be building a new brand with products which positively engage with women age 45+ .

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years experience working on a beauty brand, ideally in skincare. They will have a passion for skincare and a strong understanding of ingredients, formats and usage.

This is a pivotal role within the Brand Team with strong ties to the Medical and Formulation teams. This candidate will enjoy taking ownership, delivering results and getting involved in the day to day detail of creating an exciting new brand.

What you'll do:

This is a new position at And Begin and therefore the opportunity to develop this role is huge. You will be:

• Working alongside our CMO, Head of Medical and Formulation teams on the NPD roadmap, ingredients, format and product / ingredient messaging.
• Listening to our customers, especially the new And Begin fan community, to create a range of world class products.
• Developing the best way to communicate the unique product offering we bring - the efficacy, the sensorials, the personalisation.
• Deciding with the medical team the best moments to bring in new ingredients, formats and products.

Who you are

These are the skills we’re looking for. Even if you don’t tick every box, but feel you’re right for us, we’d still love to hear from you.

• 5+ years experience in working in beauty, preferably skincare
• High level of, and passion for, product, ingredient and format knowledge with a strong understanding of product claims and fragrance development
• Experience working directly with product developers and formulators
• Strong knowledge of competitors in skincare and what they have to offer and how we differentiate
• Understanding of key beauty trends and where product and ingredient development is going
• Able to work with journalists and influencers to explain how our products work and why they are unique
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset, a self-starter who thrives in a environment that values bias-for-action and execution.
