We’re looking for a Design Engineer to join our Operations Team at Skin + Me. This is a full time role based at our Facility in Park Royal, London.

About the role

As a Design Engineer at Skin + Me you will be part of the end-to-end project process - from design, order & build of new machinery and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or have 1-2 years experience. They’ll have a degree in engineering, product design or similar and be highly competent at 3D modelling in CAD packages. Most importantly the ideal candidate will be a detail focused, logical thinker with a love for problem solving and a willingness to get stuck in.

What you'll do

• You’ll be part of the end-to-end project process - from design, order & build of new machinery and infrastructure
• Define and manage project deliverables to deadlines
• Medium-term ownership of your own projects
• Carry out detailed mechanical design on SolidWorks
• Exposure to and experience of relevant manufacturing techniques is an advantage:
• Laser cutting & sheet bending
• Welding
• CNC
• Injection moulding
• Manage the handover process from engineering to production for projects worked on
• Work closely with founders and Leadership Team to define the future growth of the brand and business

Who you are

• A degree in engineering, product design or similar
• Highly competent at 3D modelling in CAD packages
• A willingness to get stuck in and a hands on attitude
• A logical thinker with a love of problem solving
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to quickly grasp, distil and explain complex concepts
• Meticulous and detail oriented - you leave nothing to chance and explore all avenues when designing solutions
• Excellent organisational skills
