This role can be fully remote in the UK (with occasional travel to our London office). We are unfortunately not able to consider candidates outside these locations at this stage.

What you will be doing

We're hiring for a role that offers hands-on experience across a variety of Finance activities, while utilising your accounting knowledge alongside experienced team members. Much more than just number crunching, you'll have the opportunity to partner with other departments, acting as a key support in solving challenges and helping the business grow. You will:

  • Alongside the FC & CFO, continue building Finance to be a trusted function that supports the wider business with timely and accurate information.
  • Contribute to the accurate and consistent accounting for both our UK & French entities.
  • Assisting the FC close month end with accounting for expenses, accruals and prepayments.
  • Be the go-to person for all Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable matters; playing an important role in developing and managing the processes and systems (with the guidance of the Financial Controller).
  • Additional focus partnering with the Sales teams to ensure revenue is invoiced correctly and cash collected on time. This will involve working with internal teams, as well as handling communication with customers around queries and payments.
  • Be willing to learn and evolve within the role whilst being proactive, we encourage your input! We would love to meet candidates with interest or experience incorporating new technology into their day to day.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who feels they can hit the ground running.

We are looking for a bright individual, with strong attention to detail, ability to plan and organise, and who has 3+ years' experience with working in a similar setting.

You will need:

  • Accounting / bookkeeping knowledge (understanding of double-entry, ledgers, journals)
  • Understanding of Accounts Payable/ Receivable operations
  • Good communication skills – comfortable with speaking to customers, as well as internal senior stakeholders when required.
  • Creative mind, comfortable applying learnings from your previous experiences or from others’ best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero
  • Basic Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisation and time management

We’d love to hear from candidates with French language skills and, or, experience of accounting / bookkeeping within a French entity (nice-to-have, not mandatory).
