Location: Paris office or Occitanie operations sites. Remote work possible with regular travel between locations and across France and the United Kingdom.
What you will be doing
We are hiring a Head of Technical Services to found, lead, and scale our global Technical Services function,
delivering tailored technical solutions—ranging from integration and automation to data migration and low-code app delivery.
Reporting into our Co-Founder and CTO, you’ll shape a critical, customer‑facing function from the ground up, deliver visible impact with strategic customers, and build a team that becomes a force multiplier for growth across the UK and France.
This is a hands-on player-coach role: you will deliver high-impact customer solutions, design the operating model, and manage a lean but high-performing team within six months. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales and Customer Success to provide field feedback, shape roadmaps, do scoping, handoffs, and expansion plays.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex post‑sales delivery for UK and France (~50% initially)
- Own solution architecture and delivery for strategic customers, especially in the early phase
- Run technical workshops to embed Semble into customer architectures
- Build integrations using Workato, REST/GraphQL APIs, and scripting when needed (e.g., JavaScript/Python)
- Translate business workflows into automated logic and low‑code applications
- Manage data mapping and migrations using Semble’s tooling
- Handle executive‑level communications, risk management, and escalations across concurrent projects
Build and lead the Global Technical Services function (~25% initially)
- Alongside the CTO and CRO, define the strategy, operating model, and services list (integration, automation, data migration, low‑code app delivery, enablement)
- Establish delivery methodology, playbooks, templates, and quality standards for repeatable, high‑quality outcomes
- Stand up tooling and processes (e.g., project governance, SOW templates, estimation models, utilisation and capacity planning, QA/code reviews)
- Set and own KPIs and dashboards (e.g., CSAT/NPS, on‑time/on‑budget delivery, utilisation, margin, attach rates, time‑to‑value, expansion/NRR influence)
Drive pre‑sales success in France (~25% initially)
- Partner with French Sales and UK‑based Sales Engineer to scope, demo, and solution complex requirements
- Craft solution patterns, effort estimates, and SOWs that de‑risk delivery and accelerate close
- Bridge customer needs and technical feasibility; influence deal strategy and pricing
- Act as the technical expert for French customers, translating requirements into clear proposals and guiding them through discovery, solution design, and evaluation (including RFPs and POCs).
- Represent Semble at industry events, trade shows, conferences, or on webinars.
We are especially keen to hear from candidates with experience or curiosity in AI, who are eager to explore how intelligent systems can enhance healthcare.
What we are looking for
Essentials
- Fluent in French and English; confident in customer-facing presentations and workshops
- 8+ years in B2B Technical/Professional Services, including 2+ years building/scaling a team or function
- Proven ownership of complex post‑sales delivery and executive engagement; able to establish playbooks and lead multi‑workstream programs
- Technical depth: integration platform such as
Workato/Zapier/Tray; APIs (REST/GraphQL), webhooks, JSON; JavaScript/Python; data mapping/migrations; familiarity with SQL/Postman and cloud architectures
- Commercial/operational acumen: scoping, SOWs/pricing, estimation; utilisation/capacity planning, forecasting, margin; consistent KPI attainment
- Pre‑sales: consultative selling, discovery/solutioning, POCs, RFPs; crafting effort estimates and SOWs that de‑risk delivery
- Excellent communicator across both deeply technical and non‑technical audiences; strong documentation/process mapping; thrives in fast, ambiguous environments
Nice to Have
- Low‑code/app builders and mobile experience
- Partner‑delivered services and enablement programs
- Sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, SPICED, SPIN)
- Security/compliance and GDPR; experience in HealthTech or other regulated industries
- International work across France and the UK

Salary & Package Information
We have a structured internal salary banding system and publish these for all roles wherever possible. This role is an exception, as it is newly created and senior in scope, and we are currently assessing the appropriate banding. As such, the final package will be influenced by the skills, experience, and expertise of the successful candidate.
