This role can be fully remote in the UK and EU (with occasional travel to our London office) within +/- 2 hours of the GMT time zone. We are unfortunately not able to consider candidates located outside these locations and time zones at this stage.

About you

The Delivery Manager works closely with one or more Product Delivery teams to embed and enhance good working practices with a focus on delivery. Our ideal candidate will have experience of coaching and facilitating a continuous improvement process resulting in a better overall delivery of value to clients. You will be working closely with both the Product and Tech teams, utilising an Agile methodology.

What you will be doing

  • Challenging and improving organisational processes
  • Defining processes and procedures
  • Encouraging and facilitating a continuous improvement process, mindset and environment and be a driver in positive change to the organisation
  • Acting as an enabler to the delivery process and ensuring that exceptional value is provided to our clients through software that is delivered on time, is efficient and finished to a high quality standard
  • Tracking the progress of projects and working with Product Managers to make adjustments as needed to keep the delivery on track
  • Providing consistent reporting on project progress
  • Collating and tracking metrics to help with effective forecasting so that delivery estimations are as accurate as possible
  • Highlighting areas of inefficiencies; and investigating end to end cycle time improvements
  • Facilitating ceremonies, workshops and discussions; mentoring and encouraging teams and individuals in self-organisation, cross-functionality and collaboration to solve problems and drive higher productivity
  • Helping to both highlight and proactively manage cross-team dependencies
  • Promoting and embedding Agile principles and delivery techniques
  • Supporting teams in identifying and managing risks or blockers to delivery
  • Protecting the teams and making sure they collaborate, communicate and focus on what is most important

Required skills

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a Delivery Manager role
  • Experience working with DevOps and/or Data teams
  • Ability to perform Delivery Manager responsibilities across more than one team
  • Solid understanding and experience in embedding Agile methods and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean
  • Strong interpersonal skills including facilitation and the ability to be able to lead and influence others
  • Ability to get the most out of the teams and know how to motivate on an individual level
  • Good communication skills and experience liaising with all levels of Stakeholders
  • Able to solve problems and issues as they occur in a calm, methodical manner
  • Ability to challenge where appropriate
  • Enthusiastic, driven, self-motivated with a focus on quality and client value
  • Able to work independently, excellent personal organisation and can demonstrate consistently balanced good judgement and logical thought prioritisation
  • Collating and tracking metrics to help with effective forecasting so that delivery estimations are as accurate as possible
  • Promoting and embedding Agile principles and delivery techniques
  • Facilitating Agile ceremonies
  • Experience of setting up new teams

Desirable skills

  • Experience using: Jira, Miro
  • Experience introducing Agile to non-software development teams
  • Start up or scale up experience for a technology product company
  • Experience of managing Waterfall projects
  • Experience of Internationalisation
