🚀 Our story

Partly's mission is to connect the world's parts. We're building the first global platform for replacement parts — starting with automotive — and we're doing it with infrastructure-grade technology in a $1.9 trillion industry that's still running on manual workflows and legacy data.

Founded by ex-Rocket Lab engineers, we've more than tripled our team in the last 12 months, with backing from Blackbird Ventures, Square Peg, Octopus Ventures, and personal investment from Dylan Field (Figma) and Akshay Kothari (Notion). Partly's solutions are live across hundreds of companies globally, providing the backbone for cataloguing and managing parts online.

We're now building out our UK and European business — and we need the person who turns that growth story into numbers that prove it.

🖍️ This role

Partly's UK and EU business is growing fast. We have customers, we have product, and we have a clear growth thesis. What we don't have yet is the analytical infrastructure to measure it rigorously, spot what's working, and direct resources with confidence.

This is that role.

As BI Lead, you'll be the first dedicated intelligence function for the UK and EU region — owning everything from KPI definitions to customer activity reporting to the growth narrative we use to make commercial decisions. You'll work directly with the UK General Manager, BizOps, and Data Engineering, and your work will sit at the centre of how this region operates.

💻 What will you do

  • Build the reporting foundation for UK & EU Understand how our customers use the Partly platform — what actions they take, where they get stuck, what drives durable engagement — and translate that into scalable, reliable reporting that the commercial team can act on. You'll work closely with Data Engineering to ensure the underlying data is structured correctly and BizOps to make sure the outputs are actually used.

  • Define what "good" looks like across the business Establish standard KPI definitions for the UK and EU business. Revenue, activation, retention, network penetration — these metrics mean different things to different teams today. Your job is to make them mean one thing, consistently, with full confidence in the numbers behind them.

  • Prove the growth thesis with data Partly's UK strategy has ambition behind it. Your job is to put numbers to it — building the analytical case for where we're winning, where we're not, and where the biggest opportunities are. This isn't retrospective reporting; it's forward-looking intelligence that shapes decisions.

  • Be the analytical partner the business trusts Work across Product, Commercial, and Operations to translate business questions into analytical answers quickly. You won't have a team yet, so responsiveness and commercial judgment matter as much as technical depth.

🥷 Your skills

Essential

  • Strong SQL — you're comfortable writing complex queries from scratch and can own a data model end-to-end

  • Python — for automation, analysis, and keeping things scalable as the data grows

  • Experience as the lead or sole BI/analytics person in a team — you know what it means to own the function, not just contribute to it

  • Genuine curiosity about customers and how they behave — you ask "why?" before you build the dashboard

  • Ability to define and standardise KPIs across a business, not just report against existing ones

  • Track record in a high-growth technology company where the data environment was still maturing

Strong preference for

  • SaaS or marketplace business model experience — you understand activation, retention, and network metrics

  • Experience coordinating with Data Engineering to influence upstream data quality and pipeline design

  • Comfort presenting analytical findings to senior commercial stakeholders and adapting your communication accordingly

Please note: if you don't have all the skills/experience listed above but believe you could be outstanding in this role, please still consider applying. Many folks, especially those from underrepresented or marginalised groups, often count themselves out. Please allow us to learn more about you and why you're exceptional!
