How you will make an impact:
We are looking for a proactive and passionate Junior People Partner to join our dynamic People team in our London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR professional who is keen to develop their career into a true generalist role.
Reporting to the Director, People, you will be a key support for our line managers and employees, acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day queries. You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive, supportive, and high-performing work environment by providing expert advice and assisting on employee relations casework.
Primary Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to:
- First-Line Support: Serve as the first point of contact for employees and line managers on a wide range of People-related queries, providing timely and accurate advice on policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Employee Relations (ER): Confidently support on a variety of employee relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance improvement plans, ensuring full compliance with UK employment law and best practices.
- Employee Lifecycle: Support key processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation reviews, flexible working requests, and offboarding.
- Recruitment: Support the recruitment process: drafting job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new starters.
- Policy & Process: Assist the Director, People with the implementation of People policies and procedures, ensuring they remain relevant, compliant, and aligned with our company values.
- People Initiatives: Support a variety of projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing our employee experience, and development.
- HR Operations: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within our HRIS and assist with generating People-related data and reports to provide valuable insights.
Knowledge & Skill:
- Previous experience in a generalist People/HR role (preferably 3+ years)
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards it) or similar qualification
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a customer service, can-do attitude
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Desired Skills & Abilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with UKG (HRIS)
- Experience working in Google Workspace
