How you will make an impact:

Opensignal is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Corporate Accounting to lead and oversee our growing North American regional accounting and group consolidation processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of our financial data across multiple products and regions. If you have a robust background in managing complex financial projects in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management in a Dynamic Environment: Proactively manage a small team of accountants in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth, and working cross-functionally throughout the organization to ensure business continuity.
• Lead Global Consolidation Efforts: Oversee the global consolidation process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results. Manage intercompany transactions and eliminations to ensure financial integrity.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, ensuring they reflect the company’s financial position accurately and in accordance with US GAAP accounting standards. Provide insights and analysis on financial performance to senior leadership.
• Systems Management: Oversee Netsuite ERP system, and responsible for leading optimization projects; identify and assist with implementation of systems improvements.
• Implement Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices for financial consolidation and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting standards and regulations.
• Month-End Close and Reporting Improvement: Continually develop, expand, and improve global month-end close and financial reporting procedures, helping to drive the reduction of the close timeline by assessing and streamlining close-related activities.
• Streamline Processes: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with regional finance teams, data engineers, and product managers to gather and integrate financial data from various sources.
• Audit Support: Support the year-end financial statement audits

Required Skills & Abilities:

• CPA Required
• Proven track record of leading and managing a team of finance professionals
• Advanced proficiency in Netsuite, the Company’s ERP system
• Knowledge of financial consolidation processes and systems, including intercompany transactions and eliminations.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage change effectively.
