The Events and Community Manager will be responsible for defining and delivering Ometria’s Demand Generation Events strategy. Demand Generation works to drive Opportunities into Sales through Marketing activities, of which Events is one component. A key part of the role is to be responsible for the planning and execution of our flagship annual event, Lifecycle, which is an industry-leading conference for over 400 marketing and ecommerce leaders. This role will also oversee the building and management of our highly engaged event audiences into a thriving community of decision makers across the retail marketing space.

Key Outcomes

  • Drive opportunities and closed business through events - through developing Ometria’s event offering, you will be expected to deliver an efficient and effective events calendar with an opportunity target achieved for every event delivered.
  • Event planning and execution - for both owned events and those that we sponsor, you will plan, manage and deliver all of the events that we agree as part of our Events strategy and work with the sales team to ensure maximum attendance.
  • Lifecycle - you will be responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of Lifecycle, our annual industry conference. This will be your main focus for several months of the year, and you will be targeted on both the quality of the event and its commercial success.
  • Community - Manage, scale and maintain our highly engaged ICP audience for bespoke events throughout the year to nurture strategic accounts, targeted on engagement, sales meetings and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Venues and suppliers - you will source, coordinate, negotiate, and liaise with venues and third party suppliers to deliver high-, on-brand events.
  • Speakers and sponsors - you will tap into, and expand our network of expert speakers and sponsors, and coordinate them in the runup to the event.
  • Operations and logistics - you will coordinate staffing and on-the-day logistics to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Budgeting - you will produce detailed event budgets, ensuring that you always negotiate the best deal for Ometria, and deliver events within budget.
  • Strategy - You will, alongside our sales function, build our community driven strategy by building audiences and driving sign-ups.
  • Reporting- you will ensure that all events contribute to overall sales and marketing objectives, measuring the success of each event, and using results to optimise our future events calendar.
  • Stakeholder and project management - you will work with all relevant Ometria teams to develop a project plan, and you will work to ensure that they meet all milestones
