Newton's Tree is looking for an AI Success Manager to join our Customer Success team to deepen and grow our relationships with the healthcare organisations we already work with.

Our customers have already made the harder decision. They have chosen to govern and monitor clinical AI properly, and our platform runs in their live clinical settings. The next question for each of them is where else AI could make a measurable difference, and what evidence they would need before acting. Answering that well is slower and more careful work than it sounds. It means understanding a department's pathway, its data, its workforce pressures and its appetite for risk, the potential vendor solutions, and then helping the people there build a case their organisation will fund.

You will work across our existing customers: discovering and validating new use cases with clinical and operational teams, helping them develop and test business cases, and then making sure what was agreed is delivered well and used.

We have a healthy pipeline of projects across our customers, so a large part of the job is also making sure that work is delivered successfully. That matters because successful delivery is what leads to better outcomes for patients, clinicians and the organisations we serve. A project that goes live but is not adopted has not done its job, and we treat delivery and adoption as seriously as finding the next opportunity.

You will report to our Head of Strategy and Delivery, who holds overall accountability for our customer accounts and work closely with our Engineering team (primarily with FDE), IG and with our AI Scientist team during use-case discovery and delivery.

What you will be responsible for

Use-case discovery and validation

  • Plan and deliver awareness and engagement activities within customer sites including seminars, lunch-and-learns, mini-conferences, audit mornings, etc.
  • Run structured discovery with clinical and operational teams across our customers to identify where AI could address a real pathway, workforce or capacity problem
  • Validate use cases with decision markers and be clear when the right answer is to stop, wait or run a structured evaluation first

Business case development

  • Maintain a prioritised opportunity pipeline and help customer champions develop business cases in the language hospital investment boards and AI Governance Committees use
  • Test assumptions with clinical, operational and finance stakeholders before a case goes to decision, and be honest about what remains uncertain
  • Scope proposals and statements of work with the Head of Strategy and Delivery, so that what we commit to is deliverable

Cross-functional delivery

  • Act as the cross-functional engagement lead during delivery, working alongside the Technical Delivery Manager to coordinate engineering work and also alongside other Newton’s Tree teams such as IG and the Clinical Data Science team.
  • Own the plan, dependencies and stakeholder communications for each engagement from approval to go-live
  • Keep customer-side actions moving, including IG approvals, DPIAs, clinical safety sign-off, and IT and integration dependencies
  • Escalate early and clearly when timelines, scope or risk change

Ongoing engagement and adoption

  • Prepare monthly customer reports covering usage, performance and monitoring outputs, delivery progress and the success measures agreed
  • Support regular check-ins and quarterly reviews with customer stakeholders
  • Track adoption actively, diagnose why it stalls, and work with customers on training, workflow and communication to improve it
  • Support case study development
  • Bring customer feedback, adoption insight and emerging needs back to the product, delivery and leadership teams

Who we are looking for

We are particularly interested in hearing from medical doctors or other frontline healthcare staff who are looking to move into health technology. You already understand clinical pathways, how clinicians think and what it takes for a new application to be trusted and used on the ward. This role is designed to build the commercial, delivery and customer skills around that foundation, and we will support you in doing so.

We also welcome candidates from customer success or account management at a healthtech or other regulated technology company, from digital health consulting, from project or programme management in the NHS, or from other clinical and operational roles that have moved towards technology. What matters is the combination below.

Essential

  • You have clinical experience as a doctor, or have worked in health technology, digital health or healthcare delivery, or you can show a serious and sustained interest in health tech and what you have done about it
  • You can identify, scope and land new work with the people you work with, whether as growth within a customer account or as service improvement projects in a clinical setting, and you can explain how
  • You have coordinated work across teams with different expertise, such as clinical, technical, data and governance specialists, and kept stakeholders informed and confident throughout
  • You can build and pressure-test a business case, and you are comfortable with the numbers behind it
  • You are credible with clinicians and operational leaders because you listen well and ask the questions that surface the real problem
  • You write clearly, and you produce reports that people read and act on
  • You keep accurate records and an honest pipeline as a matter of course

Preferred

  • A medical degree and clinical experience in the NHS, with an interest in clinical AI, quality improvement or digital transformation
  • An understanding of how NHS organisations make decisions and spend money: where budget sits, who has to agree and how long it takes
  • Exposure to clinical AI, imaging informatics, medical devices or other regulated health technology
  • Some familiarity with IG and clinical safety requirements, including DPIAs, DCB0129 and DCB0160 would be an advantage
  • A recognised project management approach or qualification

Not required

  • Previous industry or commercial experience. If you are a doctor making the move into health tech, we will help you build these skills
  • A technical or data science background. Our FDEs and AI Scientists bring that depth; you need to be curious and able to translate
  • Experience of managing people. This is an individual contributor role today

What we offer

  • A full-time, permanent role
  • Base salary of £55,000 to £70,000 depending on experience, plus a variable element tied to the number of new customer projects identified and successfully delivered. On-target earnings of £110,000, uncapped.
  • Equity through our share option scheme
  • Remote working within the US or UK, with regular travel to customer sites and monthly in-person team days
  • Health and wellbeing package
  • Support for professional development, including conference attendance
  • 28 days leave plus statutory bank holidays/federal holidays

Our interview process

We aim to complete the process within two weeks and to give you a decision within 48 hours of the final conversation.

  1. Introductory conversation (30 minutes) with the Head of Strategy and Delivery. Mutual fit, our customers and the current state of the business, your questions
  2. Competency assessment (60 minutes). Scenario based with questions testing how you would run discovery, what you would need to validate, how you would shape the business case, and how you would coordinate our teams through delivery and adoption
  3. Cross-functional interview (30 minutes) with colleagues from other parts of Newton's Tree, such as marketing and/or engineering. It’s also a chance for the wider team to get to know you and how you work, and for you to ask about working with them
  4. Final interview with the CEO (30 minutes). Mutual fit check
