Description
We’re searching for a National Security Trainer to help our customers understand how to use and employ our products to create safer working environments across our market segments (healthcare, education, corrections) at locations across the United States. In the field, you’ll serve as one of our subject matter experts in both pre- and post-sale engagements and interface with security professionals and leadership teams in hospitals, school districts, and in county, state, federal law enforcement and correctional to advise, and recommend changes in process, and workflow to improve safety postures for all persons entering their locations. In the office, you’ll lead our efforts to develop curriculum and content for our learning management platform. This is a key part of generating economies of scale, extending our global presence and adoption of our products.

Your Roles & Responsibilities
- Train customers on use, application, operation, workflows and CONOPS (Concept of Operations) associated with our Ferromagnetic Detection (FMD) products virtually and on customer premises
- Assist customers in developing strategies, processes, and CONOPS that leverage our technologies and create safer operating postures
- Create and deliver clear and compelling presentations to internal and external customers and all layers of management
- Develop and deliver relevant curriculum and coursework that can be used for safety professionals, law enforcement agencies, correctional officers, and other responsible parties to prevent or eliminate threat or targeted objects from entering facilities or secure areas
- Conduct on-site safety and/or process audits, provide results and explanations that feed into customers’ continuous improvement or security programs
- Plan and organize training schedules that maximize geography and minimize single-customer visits
- Provide product quality and use case (screening approaches, CONOPS, targeted items, etc.) information back to engineering and product management teams
- Educate sales, field service, and distribution partners around applications, CONOPS, and deployment strategies
- Lead and participate in group discussions, industry forums, product demonstrations, and webinars
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders throughout the industry that influence and promote both personnel safety and industry best practice
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a professional security officer role, LEA or federal, state, county, or city correctional facility
- In-depth experience with back-office processes, business process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies and concepts
- Strong computer and analytical skills and ability to identify operational problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement changes in process, practice, and behavior to resolve
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain individual relationships across the enterprise, customer base, and industry
- Comfortable creating and communicating ideas, concepts, and training to stakeholders, supporting all our customer facing teams, and ensuring processes and support systems are scalable and meet the needs of our customers.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments with a high degree of autonomy
- Working knowledge CRM (Salesforce.com) and ERP (SAP) systems preferred
- Methodical, analytical mindset, and tendency to make data-driven decisions
- Experience working with global teams, global markets, and international business environment preferred and would be a significant advantage
Education
- Associate degree in criminal justice preferred
- Successful completion of Correctional Officer Academy, Law Enforcement Academy, Military Police Academy, Professional Security Academy
Travel
- Up to 70% domestic travel
