About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to join our talented growing QA team.

The successful applicant would be responsible for helping to ensure the technical quality and gameplay experience of our title lineup. The candidate must be passionate about indie video games, be able to work to deadlines, have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a great eye for detail, strong sense of initiative, and be able to work independently.

This role will be based in our Chelford office, Cheshire, with some element of home working. We are currently working three days a week in the office with two working from home.

Key Responsibilities

● Planning and executing testing

● Identifying and reporting both technical and UX related issues

● Raising and maintaining issues in bug tracking software

● Escalating critical faults to producers, production coordination, and developers

● Continuous evaluation of the quality of active projects

● Weekly reporting to line manager

● Build management

Essential Skills and Experience

● Ability to work with direction and under own initiative

● Experience in maintaining bug tracking software - Jira, Red Mine, AirTable, Mantis, etc...

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Ability to handle shifting schedules, priorities, and multiple projects

● Willing to learn, take on new responsibilities, and evolve your skill set

● Be a team player with excellent communication skills

● Operational understanding of major platforms, including XB Series X|S, PS5 and NSW

● Knowledge of platform requirements

Ideal Skills

● Involvement in a project from concept to release

● Experience in generating comprehensive test planning

● Experience coordinating with external QA service providers

● Understanding of code submission compliance on major platforms

● Operational understanding of major platforms, including XBX|S and PS5

● Experience with testing network multiplayer titles
