The Role

You will play a crucial role in developing, evaluating and demonstrating medical applications for the Living Optics Camera System and related technologies. You will support our internal sales and R&D teams and work directly with customers and academic institutions to solve their problems.

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with a passion for hands-on problem solving and a desire to grow their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work with top research institutes to develop affordable, non-invasive diagnostics to lower- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and explore the use of video-rate hyperspectral imagery in medical applications.

This role will be based in the Baltimore/New York USA. It will require travel to research facilities and customer locations. Occasional international travel to our regional customer locations offices and Head Office in the UK may be required.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical expertise in biomedical applications
  • Biomedical data capture, using our hyperspectral systems and other systems and analysis
  • Enabling our customers/partners to use our products for their applications at their sites
  • Creating application showcase demonstrators for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop ideas for next technology steps and support activities towards product development and applications.
  • Playing a full and collegiate role in upholding and promoting the values of the company


Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelors level qualification in biomedical engineering, medical physics, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in in data capture and statistical analysis, specifically working with data collected from medical, healthcare, or wellness devices
  • A systems-thinker, capable of interpreting customer needs and atomising complex requirements
  • Hands on. Enjoys being in an office, lab, or field site working with equipment, capturing and analysing data
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in software, optical design, electronics design, and mechanical design
  • Able to travel internationally


Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in working with prototype equipment and contributing to product development and solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting or coordinating human studies, particularly involving novel or prototype hardware
  • Some familiarity with electronics, embedded software, computer vision and machine learning (to a hobbyist level)
  • Previous technical sales, technical support or applications development experience
