The Role

We are looking for highly motivated and results-driven Direct Sales Lead to join KatKin. This is a key role in an emerging acquisition channel and a fantastic opportunity for self-starters to shape the role and the team. This role has huge potential to make a substantial impact on KatKin's next phase of growth. You will be the single threaded owner of the Direct Sales channel, leading sales team leaders, event coordinator and a team of brand ambassadors to find opportunities to meet with potential customers and deliver customer acquisition results.

Key ownership areas

Key focus areas for the first 9 months

  • Build the vision, strategy and roadmap short term and long term, for the Direct Sales channel.

  • Scale up the Direct Sales acquisition results by scaling up existing channels and kicking off new channels, from conceptual thinking to driving implementation.

  • Hire and maintain a team of strong brand ambassadors for all channels

  • Direct the team to book high performing events and improve the efficiency for non-event channels via analytics and planning, to drive down cost per acquisition

  • Manage the day to day activities of the entire channel with the help from the sales team leader and event coordinator (note that many events can fall on weekends)

  • Build and maintain a strong brand ambassador network and team that delivers results

  • Create metric visibility and establish reporting for the channel to track performance, input and output metrics, own the weekly squad meeting with senior leaders

  • Lead and coach direct reports in the team for them to grow into more effective leaders

  • Form cross team relationships within KatKin

Who we are looking for:
  • Experience in field sales and leading cross functional sales teams

  • Strong leadership skills to manage multi-faceted teams and aspects of a complex channel, as well as all the people involved in this channel

  • Customer first mindset - both for end customers of KatKin and for treating the field team as customers.

  • Problem solving mindset - to have the determination and capability to adapt and overcome any obstacle

  • Sales and targets driven mindset - highly motivated to overachieve and independently develop plans with limited guidance and feedback

  • Able to make high judgement decisions independently by considering relevant information and balancing the right trade-offs

  • Ability to deep dive into detail but also to simplify and maintain strong perspective on bigger picture

  • Showcase highest quality standard in past work experience

  • Own mistakes and learn from them

  • Results focused, data driven, and bias for action

  • Self-starter in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment

  • Urge to contribute in shaping the way of working and team culture

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
