The Role

As our Growth Lead (Retention) you’ll be responsible for driving retention in the first 3 months of our customer’s journey with KatKin. You will be reporting to the Head of Retention, and this is a new and exciting role in the team!

Responsibilities include creating a 5* trial experience for key segments, educating customers on the benefits of feeding fresh and driving loyalty through gamification and account usage. You'll mix creativity and data to optimise the customer journey, intuitively understand customers’ problems and feelings to drive long-term retention.

This is a cross-functional role where you’ll work closely with Product, Tech, Analytics, Creative and Customer Experience. You need to build strong partnerships with your stakeholders to drive your projects forward. You’ll also run workshops and focus groups, both internally to generate ideas, and with external cat parents to get into the minds of our customers.

You should be comfortable operating in a fast-moving and data driven environment, you'll be a key player contributing to the growth of the company. Our Growth team is a small team with a big impact and motivation, so a proactive attitude is a must!

Key ownership areas
  • Managing the customer retention strategy in the first 3 months.

  • Running end to end tests to drive performance on key retention metrics. These tests could span the sign up funnel, account area, box and packaging, cancellation flow, and more.

  • Speaking with customers and running surveys to keep on top of customer behaviour, subscription pain points, changing demographics and other key information.

  • Running workshops to generate ideas from the wider team, and effectively prioritise into realistic plans.

  • Own reporting and analysis for your projects, working with our data team to create automated reports in Looker where possible.

  • Work with the rest of the Growth team and Creative team to drive customer messaging, identifying customer segments and new opportunities. You’ll need to bring your creative brain as well as your data brain!

Who we are looking for:
  • Several years experience and proven success in driving results in growth projects

  • Highly data driven and comfortable manipulating and interpreting data.

  • Proactive with a creative and curious mindset - you’re always thinking of ways to drive continuous improvement and optimisations.

  • Obsessed with understanding our customer, from analysing data to speaking to CP on the phone.

  • Strong verbal and written English skills - you will be the voice of the company.

  • Demonstrate self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving.

Nice to haves
  • Experience working with a D2C subscription business model

  • Experience with using Looker and Klaviyo
