This Technical Program Manager Internship is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in project management and Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC). This internship will provide you with the chance to work on challenging and rewarding projects while learning from experienced professionals. You will be responsible for assisting the migration and implementation of new SDLC processes and tools across multiple Product and Engineering teams.
How your work moves the mission forward
- Engage with stakeholders, including product owners, developers, and testers, to gather detailed information about the existing SDLC process and daily operations of the product and engineering teams
- Create data maps between existing and new tools and processes, design appropriate configuration schemes for new systems
- Plan, estimate, breakdown work and project manage the system migrations.
- Lead the change management process across multiple teams. Engage with stakeholders, including product owners, developers, and testers, to gather their input and feedback on the proposed tools and process changes.
- Implement the proposed changes by mapping data between existing and new tools and processes, implementing the right configuration schemes, and creating reusable scripts when possible.
- Prepare project status reports, including project progress reports, risk reports, and financial reports
Skills you will need to be successful
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Engineering Management, or any related field that includes a technical component and a project management component
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to organize and document work, prioritize and manage multiple activities simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc)
- Familiarity with cloud-based software architecture
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows
- Familiarity with GitHub software development and collaboration
- Experience with project management software such as JIRA, Asana, Monday, etc
- Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems in a complex Software Development Life-Cycle process with hardware integration
The hourly rate for this position is $56.73 + benefits. Rates are determined by role, level, location, and education. Your recruiter will share more about the specific hourly rate for this role during the hiring process.
