Role

Are you passionate about making cutting-edge robotic capabilities accessible to everyone? We are seeking highly motivated and talented interns to join our team and contribute to the advancement of robotics in an exciting internship opportunity.

In particular, we seek a technically strong intern with excellent communication skills to design and build a guide for developers who wish to contribute new robotic capabilities to our platform. The guide should be driven by examples from real-world use cases, so we are particularly interested in candidates with broad experience in the space of contemporary automation (perception, motion and task planning, hardware, communication protocols and paradigms, etc.). There may additionally be opportunities to contribute to development of the platform itself.

How your work moves the mission forward

Build a community of developers that will create and share the next generation of robotic capabilities together.
Ground our platform in real-world, end-to-end robotic applications that integrate robotic hardware in an industrial setting.
Contribute toward development of intuitive tools and interfaces for developers, including programming in C++ and Python.
Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals in modern software development practices.
Coordinate software development efforts across cross-functional and cross-geographical teams.

Skills you will need to be successful

Bachelor’s student in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's students preferred)
Excellent written communication skills, especially in example-driven developer documentation
Experience with and broad understanding of modern approaches to industrial robotic automation
Proficiency in modern software development languages, including C++ and Python
Interest in and ability to build tools and intuitive interfaces for development of diverse robotic capabilities
Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems in full-stack software, artificial intelligence, and robotics
