The Role

We are seeking a highly organized, independent, and results-driven Sales Director to join Azerion’s growing U.S. team with a focus on expanding our client footprint and driving revenue growth across key markets.

This is a senior individual contributor role, ideal for a seasoned sales professional who excels at building executive-level relationships, leading strategic conversations, negotiating complex deals, and consistently exceeding revenue goals.

As a Sales Director at Azerion, you will lead efforts to expand our programmatic advertising sales, focusing on Azerion’s proprietary data and media solutions — including curated PMPs, cookieless targeting strategies, and behavioral intelligence tools. You will own a personal sales quota and work closely with internal experts across trading, research, insights, and client services to deliver tailored, high-impact advertising solutions for top brands, agencies, and platforms.

What we are looking for:

We seek a proven dealmaker who can independently develop a book of business, navigate long sales cycles, and bring Azerion’s full suite of offerings to market. The right candidate is entrepreneurial, persuasive, and comfortable selling at the CMO and agency lead level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth & Business Development
    • Drive revenue growth through Azerion’s programmatic media solutions, including PMPs, contextual and behavioral intelligence, unique creative formats, and cookieless targeting.
    • Own and exceed individual revenue targets by building, managing, and closing a pipeline of enterprise-level agency and brand partners.
    • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring seamless post-sale relationship management to drive retention and account growth.
  • Strategic Selling & Client Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with senior decision-makers at agencies and brands, positioning Azerion’s data, technology, and creative solutions as integral components of their media strategies.
    • Lead high-value negotiations and present Azerion’s Infinity Platform, premium supply, and creative offerings as essential elements of clients’ marketing mix.
    • Collaborate closely with product and trading teams to design tailored, data-driven solutions leveraging Azerion’s unique audience insights and technology stack.
  • Market Development & Thought Leadership
    • Identify and capitalize on emerging verticals, market opportunities, and industry trends to expand Azerion’s footprint and client reach.
    • Stay ahead of competitive dynamics and the evolving adtech landscape to proactively guide client strategies.
    • Represent Azerion at key industry events, conferences, and forums to elevate brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.
  • Internal Collaboration & Strategic Input
    • Partner with trading specialists, client services, and research teams to deliver best-in-class campaign performance and service excellence.
    • Share actionable client and market insights with leadership to inform sales strategy, product innovation, and roadmap development.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • 4–7+ years of experience in digital advertising or ad tech sales, with a proven track record in programmatic media and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong relationships with senior decision-makers across agencies and brands (both holding companies and independents) within the U.S. market, ideally including New York and surrounding regions.
  • Deep understanding of premium data solutions, custom creative formats, curated PMPs, and cookieless targeting strategies leveraging audience segmentation and behavioral intelligence technologies.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close six- and seven-figure deals, demonstrating commercial acumen and executive presence in high-stakes discussions.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and independent, capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strategic and consultative mindset — able to balance short-term wins with sustainable, long-term client growth.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience leading complex sales cycles from prospecting to close.
  • Strong alignment with Azerion’s core values and collaborative approach, working seamlessly with internal teams across trading, research, and client services.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to engage clients, attend events, and represent Azerion at industry forums.
  • Willingness to cultivate client relationships beyond standard business hours, including participation in networking events, industry functions, and client entertainment activities to strengthen long-term partnerships.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive compensation package with a strong commission structure.

  • Opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, global company recognized for its innovation in digital media
