As a Business Development Representative for our DACH region, you'll be the first voice prospects hear, the relationship that sparks curiosity, and the pipeline that powers our growth across Germany and the wider DACH market.This is a role for someone who is hungry, coachable, and genuinely excited about what's happening at the intersection of technology and banking. What You'll Do
- Working closely with our sales team, you'll execute a targeted outbound prospecting strategy across enterprise banking accounts in the DACH region — doing the heavy lifting to identify and qualify opportunities before handing them over for discovery.
- Prospect across target accounts using phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Qualify opportunities using nCino's MEDDPICC framework, understanding the prospect's goals, pain points, timeline, and key stakeholders
- Prepare briefing notes and "Needs Agreed" letters ahead of every Discovery call, then hand off cleanly to the sales team
- Align with EMEA Marketing campaigns to drive consistent, high-quality pipeline
- Log all activity accurately in Salesforce and keep account and contact data up to date
- Re-engage Closed Lost opportunities to reignite pipeline where appropriate
Required
- Fluency in German and English to business-professional standard — non-negotiable
- Some professional experience, whether in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role
- Proven experience with cold calling and outbound outreach ideally into financial institutions, banks, or credit unions
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and social media as business development tools
- Ability to research and interpret financial industry data to craft personalised, insight-led messaging
- A self-starter who manages their own workflow and holds themselves accountable
- Natural curiosity and the ability to research accounts and craft personalised, insight-led messaging
- Experience in fintech, SaaS, or financial services — strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or structured qualification frameworks like MEDDPICC
- Ambition to grow into a field sales or RVP role — we have a clear path for that
- Career Growth: A clear, realistic path from BDR into field sales and RVP-level roles — a progression already happening within our EMEA team — alongside structured training in sales methodology and the nCino platform.
- Team Support: You'll work closely with experienced RVPs invested in your success, alongside Marketing, Customer Success, and the wider BDG team. Your wins are shared wins.
- Impact: nCino's platform is used by over 2,700 financial institutions worldwide. The conversations you start have a direct line to real transformation in how banks operate.
- Practical Details: Competitive base salary with commission tied to qualified pipeline and discovery activity; hybrid working based out of our Winnersh or London office (Winnersh preferred); occasional travel for client meetings and team events.
