Manager - Event Team

Lead nCino's Events team in developing and executing 50+ annual conferences and events across North America while supporting global markets. Drive sales pipeline growth, strengthen brand awareness, and showcase nCino as an innovative industry leader. This player-coach role reports to the Director of Field & Partner Marketing and combines hands-on event management with team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute data-driven event strategies that fulfill corporate goals and accelerate sales pipeline growth
  • Leverage analytics to measure and report on event ROI, lead generation metrics, and pipeline contribution
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging event technologies to guide innovative strategies that differentiate nCino's brand
  • Manage annual event budget, tracking, and quarterly forecasting

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing events team through goal-setting, coaching, and career development
  • Drive talent acquisition, retention, and growth initiatives
  • Conduct regular team and individual meetings to ensure alignment and performance

Event Execution

  • Oversee 50+ annual events including industry conferences, custom hosted events, and nSight (annual user conference)
  • Manage end-to-end event lifecycle from strategy through pre- and post-event analysis
  • Ensure consistent brand experience and messaging across all touchpoints

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing Operations to implement event technology platforms and data tracking systems
  • Collaborate across Marketing teams (Field, Partner, Demand Gen, PR,
  • Product Marketing) to align event strategies with corporate goals and Go-To-Market focus areas
  • Oversee event content management, including but not limited to speaking proposals, speaker preparation, and timeline management
  • Build strong relationships with Sales, Business Development,
  • Customer Success, Product, and Executive teams to maximize event impact
  • Work with global regional teams to support international event initiatives, while sharing best practices and operating procedures

Vendor & Operations Management

  • Negotiate and manage relationships with venues, vendors, and event partners
  • Oversee contract management, invoicing, and budget reconciliation
  • Manage event technology stack including registration platforms, lead capture tools, and analytics systems
  • Manage booth inventory, maintenance, warehousing, and logistics
  • Oversee company SWAG store operations and inventory management

Success Metrics

  • Event-sourced pipeline contribution
  • Cost per lead and ROI metrics
  • Attendee satisfaction scores
  • Team performance and retention
  • Budget management and vendor savings
  • Corporate reputation, branding, and thought leadership contributions

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years corporate event management experience
  • Proven expertise in tradeshows, hosted events, and multi-stakeholder project management
  • Experience with event analytics and ROI measurement
  • Strong vendor negotiation and management skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Cvent, and event technology platforms
  • Excellence in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
  • 15-20% travel required

Preferred

  • Direct people management experience
  • Knowledge of banking/fintech and SaaS industries
  • Experience with marketing operations and data analytics tools
  • Certification in event management or related field

Location & Travel Requirements

Primary Location: Remote position available to candidates residing in North Carolina

Required Travel

  • Monthly visits to company headquarters in Wilmington, NC
  • Quarterly travel for company events and meetings
