About Foodsteps

Foodsteps is on a mission to empower the food industry to accelerate its journey to net zero. Founded in 2019, Foodsteps was acquired by Registrar Corp in 2024. Our specialised food sustainability platform and in-house experts provide instant access to industry-leading data and insights that food services companies and food manufacturers can trust to accurately measure, reduce and report their environmental impact. With Foodsteps, food businesses reduce the costs and risks of their net zero transition, and improve sales as a result.

Our product

Food systems account for nearly a third of global greenhouse gas emissions and are the leading driver of biodiversity loss. In order to avoid the catastrophic consequences from both the climate and ecological crises, we must bring positive change to our food systems—fast.

Foodsteps’ specialised food sustainability platform enables food businesses to accurately measure, reduce and report their environmental impact. With Foodsteps: businesses can automatically calculate Product Footprints in order to understand the carbon, land and water impact of their menus and products; easily generate Scope 3 Assessments of their food and beverage supply chain; and produce detailed Life Cycle Assessments in order to to get a holistic and granular view of a product’s environmental impact. Last but not least, they can leverage our Carbon Labels and FoodStories in order to confidently educate customers and make credible sustainability claims.

In addition to platform subscriptions, we offer a wide range of professional services to clients to assess their food and beverage environmental impact and work alongside them to reduce this.
