About the role:

Okay, we’ve waffled long enough. So let’s get to the good bit: You.

You are an enthusiastic and outgoing individual with strong problem solving capabilities and a desire to get things done. You should have proven practical experience in a lab/workshop environment ideally in a company developing electro-mechanical or connected (IoT) products.

Location: Hybrid working; a mix of working from our Bristol and London office & working remotely

Employment type: Permanent (please note, you must have the right to work in the UK)

What you’ll be doing at Elvie:

Reporting to Senior Test Engineer in the product side of the business. (Hardware, Electrical Engineering, Software, Continuous Improvement, Digital)

Ensure our products reflect the quality customers expect of a premium brand regarding product performance and reliability. Working within the test team to conduct performance and reliability testing.

  • Set up and execute both investigative and established test methods on a range of prototype products at various stages in the product development lifecycle.
  • Occasionally support research investigations by performing repetitive test cycles across large time scales and large sample sizes.
  • Keep meticulous records, analyse the test data and report results and findings.
  • Generate and update new and current test protocols in accordance with company quality standards.
  • Support the development & implementation of tests, test rigs and fixtures.
  • Champion our workshop facility. Maintain and service under your own initiative.
  • Manage storage, tracking all items stored and performing regular inventory.
  • Maintain Test Lab stocks and equipment.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in a process driven environment
  • Comfortable with computers and working experience office suit (MS Word, Excel, etc)
  • Attention to detail.
  • Fast learner and self-starter.
  • Experience working in a product development environment on product testing.
  • Strong organisation skills to keep and track records of tests.
  • Keen to Troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Enjoys being a team player
  • Experience working in a workshop or production-line environment is beneficial.
  • Experience in Health and Safety is beneficial.

  • 30-minute video call with one of our recruiters
  • 30-45 minute video call with the hiring manager
  • 45-60 minute video interview with the team (some positions may require you to complete a task/presentation)
  • For some positions, there may be an additional interview with one of our senior leadership team
