About the role:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic IT Security Analyst to join our growing IT Team.

This is a dedicated IT security role and we are looking for an experienced individual to both setup and implement security procedures and processes that follow industry best practices.

You will be working within the IT team to ensure that our systems are secure, and lead on all IT Security related processes and projects, ensuring that we scale our systems in a safe and secure manner.

We are a SAAS-first business and are looking for more than a traditional “secure the perimeter” approach. The successful individual will have experience of securing SAAS systems and working in a highly distributed business.

You will be working to secure a predominantly SAAS based environment, with systems such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Netsuite and Spinklr.

You will closely work with our Legal, BI, Data and Software teams, to verify that our data is held securely and complies with our policies.

Location: Hybrid working; a mix of working from our London or Bristol office & working remotely

Employment type: Permanent (please note, you must have the right to work in the UK)

What you’ll be doing at Elvie:

● Develop and deploy a fit for purpose IT Security framework

● Review and maintain privacy and security policies

● Carry out security monitoring and reviews

● Develop and deploy DLP / IDS / IPS processes

● Perform system and process risk assessments

● Ensure compliance with GDPR and other data legislation

● Audit and review IT and company systems to ensure best practices

● Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning

● Reporting of security findings

● Educate and train staff on information system security best practices

What we are looking for:

● 3+ experience of working in an IT security related role

● Knowledge of relevant IT standards and regulations

● Knowledge of information technology strategy development, including network, application, and infrastructure planning

● Experience in the development, implementation of IT security protocols, policies and procedures

● Desire to learn fast and challenge yourself. Love the idea of working in a fast-paced scale-up environment

● Can do approach: fix things that need fixing, be an organised and creative problem solver, multi-tasker, and re-prioritiser

● Proactive style - ability to work with limited supervision/direction

  • 30-minute video call with one of our recruiters
  • 30-45 minute video call with the hiring manager
  • 45-60 minute video interview with the team (some positions may require you to complete a task/presentation)
  • For some positions, there may be an additional interview with one of our senior leadership team
