About the role:

Okay, we’ve waffled long enough. So let’s get to the good bit: You.

As a Junior IT Support Engineer your role sits within our IT and Security Team, supporting the smooth running of Elvie’s IT systems and endpoints.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone starting out or early on in their IT career. Reporting to the Senior IT Support Engineer, you’ll be given broad exposure to a range of IT support tasks and have the opportunity to develop and learn new skills in a range of technologies.

You’ll have a keen interest in technology and IT, along with experience or knowledge of Mac, Windows and iOS operating systems, as well as programs and applications such as Google, Microsoft Azure/365, Slack, Asana, Zoom, ESET, 1Password and Adobe CC. While some work experience in an IT context is desirable, it is not essential. It’s more important that you have a passion for technology, a desire to learn, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Location: Hybrid working; a mix of working from our Bristol office & working remotely

Employment type: Permanent (please note, you must have the right to work in the UK)

What you’ll be doing at Elvie:

  • Responding to internal support requests.
  • Systems administration - Google, Microsoft Azure/365 & Slack
  • Configuration of new user endpoints (Mac, Windows, iOS) and support with offboarding.
  • Fault finding, troubleshooting and diagnosing software, network, and hardware issues.
  • General IT and AV equipment maintenance.
  • Delivering remote or on-site technical support.
  • Maintaining accurate asset and support ticket records.
  • Conferencing/AV and live event support.
  • MDM administration - JAMF & Intune.
  • Helping to implement key security measures and policies.

What we are looking for:

  • A keen interest in IT and technology
  • A desire to start or develop your career as an IT Professional in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ability to think logically and strategically to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • A methodical approach to tasks
  • A working knowledge of Mac, Windows and iOS operating systems.
  • Experience or working knowledge of the programs and applications which include Google, Microsoft Azure/365, Slack, Asana, Zoom, ESET, 1Password and Adobe CC.


  • ITqualifications - BTEC, NVQ, COMPTIA A+, or others
  • Customer service experience
  • 1-2 years IT Support experience
  • Knowledge or of experience administering MDM’s
  • Knowledge of scripting languages - Bash, Powershell, Python, etc…
  • Knowledge of networking technologies, protocols and terminology (VPN, LAN, Firewall, etc…
  • Additional certification in Microsoft, Google, Cisco or similar technologies

  • 30-minute video call with one of our recruiters
  • 30-45 minute video call with the hiring manager
  • 45-60 minute video interview with the team (some positions may require you to complete a task/presentation)
  • For some positions, there may be an additional interview with one of our senior leadership team
