The impact you will have
We’re looking for an outstanding Head of People, US to lead our People function across the US and based in New York, making a tangible impact on our business. You’ll sit at the heart of our organization as the senior People leader in the region, partnering closely with our US senior leadership team to shape and deliver our people strategy. What will you do?
Act as the trusted People partner to our US senior leadership team, providing strategic partnership and support on all people-related matters to drive performance and business outcomes.
Own and execute the People strategy for the US, aligning closely with the global People leadership team on key areas including talent development, engagement, culture, and change.
Use data and insight to spot patterns, guide senior leadership decision-making, and lead workforce planning, organisational design, and succession for the US.
Take ownership of embedding company-wide initiatives (e.g. performance processes, compensation cycles, hybrid working models) across the US, ensuring they land well with senior leaders, managers and their teams.
Act as the senior escalation point for complex employee relations matters in the US, providing sound, pragmatic advice and coaching that balances risk and business need with empathy and fairness.
Lead, manage and develop our US People Partners, building capability and consistency across the team and acting as their escalation point on complex issues.
Play a key role in advancing our culture and ways of working, grounded in our leadership behaviors and values.
Own accountability for the US People function, including budget, headcount planning and representing the People agenda to senior US leadership and, where relevant, global leadership forums.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Partnering with senior leaders across the US to understand business challenges, diagnose people needs, and develop tailored solutions.
Leading workforce and organizational planning for the US, including team structures, spans and layers, and succession planning.
Proactively identifying recruitment needs, partnering with Talent Acquisition on role scoping, candidate selection, offers and onboarding.
Facilitating personal development and growth through meaningful feedback, development conversations, and learning pathways.
Owning performance and conduct issues across the US, ensuring fair process and building manager confidence and capability.
Helping managers navigate and apply our reward and compensation philosophy, especially during annual cycles or off-cycle promotions.
Analysing and translating people data into insight; supporting leaders to make informed decisions that drive business outcomes.
Contributing to scaling our culture and processes as we grow internationally – with an eye on relevance, inclusion, and local nuance.
Acting as a critical voice on inclusion, wellbeing and psychological safety across the business.
You’ll be great here if you have
You have significant experience in a senior strategic HR leadership role (e.g. Head of People, Senior People Partner, or HR Business Partner leader), ideally in a scaling tech or international environment, with experience managing and developing a team.
You are business-savvy and commercially aware: you know how organizations function, how to assess people needs, and how to get things done through others.
You’re credible with senior leaders, an excellent coach, and not afraid to challenge where needed, always with respect and empathy.
You’re outcome-focused, always looking for opportunities to simplify, improve or scale a process to meet business needs.
You have strong knowledge of US employment law and multi-state compliance, with exposure to international employment contexts an advantage.
You are tech and AI-fluent, comfortable using data and a range of tools such as HRIS systems, survey platforms, spreadsheets, and AI solutions, to generate meaningful insights, build compelling cases for change, and drive greater efficiency.
You’re energized by change, resilient and flexible; you operate well in ambiguity and enjoy solving complex people challenges.
