Why it's worth it:
We are looking for a thoughtful, high-caliber UI Designer to help shape the future of GreyMatter, our AI-powered security operations platform. At ReliaQuest, we don't just "make things look good"; we solve complex technical problems by creating interfaces that are visually refined, highly usable, and infinitely scalable.
As a self-starter who takes extreme ownership, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and your fellow designers to set a new global standard for what "world-class" looks like in cybersecurity. This is a unique opportunity to tackle high-stakes design problems and directly influence the growth of an industry leader.
The Everyday Hustle
- Design with Intent: Create modern, high-fidelity designs for GreyMatter, turning dense, technical data into actionable interfaces with clear visual hierarchies.
- Architect Systems: Build and evolve our scalable Figma design system. You won’t just use components; you’ll define the variants, auto-layouts, and documentation that drive speed and consistency across the org.
- Prototype & Test: Move beyond static screens. Use Figma and ProtoPie to create interactive prototypes that communicate complex flows, edge cases, and micro-interactions.
- Bridge the Gap: Partner deeply with Engineering from ideation through handoff. You’ll provide meticulous specs, review builds, and own the UI QA process to ensure what’s designed is what’s shipped.
- Visualize Data: Design intuitive UI states (empty, loading, error) and advanced data visualization surfaces for tables, filters, and complex security dashboards.
- Advocate for the User: Ensure every pixel meets accessibility and WCAG-minded standards, making our platform inclusive and usable for all security analysts.
- Brand Synergy: Collaborate with Marketing to ensure a cohesive visual language between the GreyMatter product experience and the broader ReliaQuest brand.
Do You Have What It Takes?
- Experience: 3+ years of professional product UI design experience
- Portfolio: A strong showcase of shipped product work that proves your craft in typography, layout, color, and spacing—specifically for data-dense applications.
- Figma Mastery: Strong experience working in Figma (components, variants, variables).
- Technical Communication: Ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders and handle critique with a growth-oriented mindset.
- Ownership: A "get it done" attitude with the ability to own a project from initial concept through implementation polish.
What Makes You Uncommon?
- Domain Expertise: Experience in domains like Cybersecurity, DevOps, FinTech, or Enterprise SaaS.
- AI/ML Fluency: Experience designing for AI-assisted workflows, including human-in-the-loop interactions and AI explainability patterns.
- Code Literacy: A foundational understanding of HTML/CSS/React and how your design decisions impact front-end performance.
- Motion Craft: Advanced skills in ProtoPie or After Effects to bring interfaces to life through meaningful micro-interactions.
