Job Description
We recruiting an experienced Senior Developer to help design, build and scale our next-generation applications. Working closely with a talented Cardiff-based team, you will contribute to backend architecture and services, and optionally to frontend projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust backend systems and APIs.
- Work with one or more of the following technologies:
- Laravel (PHP)
- Go (Golang)
- Node.js
- React (frontend)
- Collaborate closely with team members to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Ensure code quality, security, and scalability.
- Mentor junior developers and guide technical improvements.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior or lead developer.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of Laravel, Go, or Node.js, with good React knowledge.
- Database design (SQL/NoSQL) and API development experience (REST/GraphQL).
- Understanding of software architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (e.g. Docker).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead projects.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Frontend architecture or UI/UX awareness.
- Knowledge of testing, performance optimisation and security best practices.
