We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Senior Delivery Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our legal tech solutions. In this role, you will lead delivery initiatives, mentor other delivery managers, and drive the execution strategy across our product suite. You will collaborate and work hands-on with Product Managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to navigate complex project environments and deliver desired outcomes for our users and customers. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of solutions for AI-driven workflows, and making them accessible and valuable for our customers.
As a Senior Delivery Manager, your mission will be to lead the successful delivery of projects in a complex environment, ensuring high quality and managing risks effectively. You will embody servant leadership, fostering a collaborative and empathetic approach to achieve desired outcomes for the business and customers. You will not only define and implement effective delivery approaches but also guide and coach stakeholders throughout the delivery process, influencing continuous iteration and improvement of team processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams:
Work alongside Product Managers, Engineers, Designers and other stakeholders, including customers, to ensure seamless delivery process, aligning with product & company goals and user needs.
Facilitate conversations about backlogs, scope, priorities and support product managers in day-to-day activities that deliver against a roadmap.
Inspire trust with senior stakeholders and guide the team to improvement throughout the delivery process.
Define the delivery approach (e.g. Kanban, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) and serve as a mentor/coach to engineers and stakeholders, understanding that different delivery approaches may be appropriate for specific situations.

Be accountable for ensuring accurate and timely delivery for projects and be able to report to leadership on status and progress.
Contribute to organisational growth and community:
Contribute to Definely beyond the scope of your projects, including participating in and contributing to communities of practice and helping other teams organise their projects and achieve their goals.

Support recruitment activities and contribute to growing Definely's impact by maintaining and growing your professional network, contributing to thought leadership, content, and events.
Mentor and coach team members:
Accelerate the growth and development of delivery teams through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Ensure regular feedback (constructive) is shared with all individuals working on projects you are accountable for.
Demonstrate encouragement and mentoring of high-performing team members, supporting their growth and development.

Foster Team Ownership and Health - Motivate and empower delivery teams to take full ownership of their work and outcomes. Proactively monitor and assess team health using frameworks like the Spotify Health Check, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to build high-performing, engaged teams.
Skills and Experience:
Extensive delivery management experience: You have a proven track record (5+ years) of successfully delivering projects in complex environments, potentially involving significant larger programmes with several delivery teams, or multiple smaller ones. You are an expert in agile delivery but are also pragmatic and understand that other approaches may be more appropriate.
Deep understanding of project management and agile methodologies: You are accountable for ensuring delivery success, including scope, budget, and quality. You can articulate the benefits and use cases of a wide variety of delivery approaches, methods, and tools, such as Kanban, Scrum, XP, and Design Sprints.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills: You thrive in cross-functional teams and can work effectively with engineers, designers, product managers, and customers to turn ideas into tangible solutions. You inspire trust with senior stakeholders and can guide and coach people throughout the delivery process. You possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate project fundamentals.
Strong problem-solving and risk management mindset: You are adept at identifying and managing risks and issues that arise. You demonstrate planning and implementation of robust risk management activities. You are also skilled at removing blockers and helping team members move forward.
Delivery optimisation and forecasting: You are skilled in various estimation techniques and can guide teams in providing accurate forecasts. You actively seek and implement strategies to improve delivery times and reduce waste across projects, ensuring efficient resource utilisation and.
Proven experience building relationships: You seek to build and grow relationships within the team but also across other areas of the business, helping improve and align ways of working facilitating a smoother delivery that meets expectations.
Continuous improvement and growth mindset: You are a self-starter and proactive. Capable of providing (and receiving) constructive feedback and helping other delivery managers develop their skills.
Experience using AI tools: You’ve got experience and a continuous interest in using AI/GenAI tools to help improve processes and find creative solutions to repetitive problems. Having worked in a company and projects building AI/ML tools is a plus.
