We are looking for a results-oriented Senior Physical Design Engineer to join our team. Alongside being responsible for the whole physical design flow, you will be working very closely with digital hardware design engineers, providing feedback from backend perspective with regards to achievable power, performance, area (PPA).
To ensure success and achieve best results, you should demonstrate extensive knowledge of flow and tools used, and contribute to flow maturity and development.
What you’ll do:
- Synthesis and Floorplanning on CPU IPs of varying complexity
- Take ownership of one or more physical design activities on live development projects
- Analyze timing and power consumption of the design
- Contribute to design methodology and library evaluation
- Work closely with digital hardware design engineers and give feedback from a physical design perspective
- Contribute to PPA activities for marketing and product teams
What we need:
- Industry experience with advanced design, including clock/voltage domain crossing, design for testing (DFT), as well as high-performance, high-frequency, and low power designs
- Experience with full RTL2GDSII flow and System on Chip (SoC) work including Synthesis, Floorplanning, Place and Route (PnR), Static Timing Analysis (STA)
- Industry experience on latest process nodes like 16/12/7nm
- Great collaboration and communication skills
- Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational, time management and record keeping skills
What you might have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related domain; computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics
