About this role and the impact you will have:
We’re looking for an exceptional Service Delivery Team Leader to join our fast-growing team at Cazoo, helping to transform the way people buy used cars and making buying a car no different to buying any other product online today.
You'll be working as part of a small team reporting to our Logistics Manager with responsibility for managing service delivery across the UK.
You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring vehicles are in the correct locations at the correct times, monitoring the progress of driver’s routes and leading problem resolution efficiently for all potential customer-impacting issues.
Working collaboratively with our Logistics team you'll need to be agile and responsive, dealing positively with challenges.
You will be someone that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on attitude and at heart with a data-driven mindset, sharing fresh ideas for how to apply best practices to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.
What you will be doing:
- Continually check and be accountable for delivery schedules across the UK on daily basis to ensure all vehicles are present and correct ahead of delivery
- Develop and maintain strong communication between Logistics Management, Delivery Team Leaders, Customer Centre’s and other key stakeholders
- Be a driving factor in the delivery of productivity and process improvements relating to service delivery in all hubs, and logistics as a whole
- Provide weekly service review reports in order to give HUB TL’s and the wider business a view of ongoing performance, highlighting success and area of improvement
- Ensure investigations are completed for any service-related failures
- You will help to develop and coach personnel behaviours and competencies in line with the company values, ensuring that each team member performs to a consistent and reliable standard
- Provide insight to the Delivery Team Leaders on service in order to support the effective performance monitoring and management of Delivery Specialists (Drivers)
We’re looking for some with:
- Previous Management experience
- The ability to influence, persuade & co-ordinate as part of the Logistics team
- Well-developed people management and leadership skills gained in team leadership roles
- A resourceful problem solver who loves a challenge and can work under pressure
- Comfortable with technology, experienced excel user with the ability & willingness to learn & become an expert in new transport management systems and processes
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing environment
- Getting the best out of remote teams through influencing and leading
