The Senior Vertical Market Manager applies deep industry context to guide analysis, inform product direction, and execute market intelligence solutions. The role operates at the intersection of market expertise, analytics, product, and commercial teams, translating market signals into actionable insights and offerings.
Preferred candidate will be hybrid from Alpharetta, GA.
Responsibilities
- Market & Industry Expertise
- Maintain a deep, current understanding of the personal lines property insurance market, including carrier strategies, distribution dynamics, loss trends, regulatory environments, and emerging risks.
- Apply industry context to frame market intelligence questions and ensure analyses and insights reflect real-world market conditions.
- Act as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to internal teams, helping translate market complexity into clear, decision‑ready insights.
- Strategic & Analytical Leadership
- Independently frame market, customer, and competitive questions, guiding analytical approaches and methodologies in partnership with Analytics teams.
- Review and challenge analytical outputs to ensure accuracy, rigor, and relevance to business objectives.
- Synthesize quantitative and qualitative inputs into coherent narratives that explain market dynamics, customer behavior, and opportunity areas.
- Product Development & Market Execution
- Support the definition, refinement, and launch of new market intelligence products and enhancements for the personal lines property market.
- Translate market needs into clear requirements and use cases that inform product roadmaps and prioritization decisions.
- Ensure intelligence products are methodologically sound, traceable, and reproducible across customers and use cases.
- Partner with Product Management and Technology to ensure timely, high‑quality execution of market‑driven solutions.
- Opportunity Development & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior‑level customer contacts and industry partners.
- Support commercial teams by shaping opportunity narratives, preparing customer-facing materials, and articulating solution value grounded in market insight.
- Participate in customer meetings to help uncover needs, validate assumptions, and position market intelligence solutions effectively.
- Competitive & Legislative Monitoring
- Monitor the competitive landscape, including new entrants, product launches, and evolving value propositions.
- Assess the implications of competitive and regulatory developments on customers, products, and commercial strategy.
- Track state and federal legislative, regulatory, and policy changes affecting the personal lines property market and communicate impacts to internal stakeholders.
- Customer & Opportunity Support
- Provide ongoing strategic consultation to internal teams supporting key customer accounts and sales opportunities.
- Contribute to customer strategy development, requirements definition, and coordination across analytics, product, and technology teams.
- Support consistent, market‑aligned messaging across customer segments and use cases.
- Customer and Market Intelligence
- Drive development of customer intelligence capabilities that benchmark internal performance against market peers and contextualizes solution value.
- Drive development of market intelligence capabilities that ensure the organization has a clear picture of the state of the property market and the main challenges and opportunities for our customers.
- Collaborate with Analytics and Product Management to ensure appropriate standards and governance for KPIs, metric definitions, and data sources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in personal lines property insurance or technology.
- Experience supporting product innovation and revenue growth.
- Project management and business analysis skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication; experience presenting to internal/external audiences.
- Experience with contracting and pricing preferred.
